  • Patent number: 10452756
Abstract: A platform for customized rendering of markup language (ML) documents into a document in a device specific language that is subsequently provided for display by a target remote device. A rendering context for the target remote device and an ML document is received by the platform, which performs processes that can paginate and fully render pages that are subsequently delivered for display by the target remote device. A post-rendering process may also be provided to perform additional processing of media items for the device specific language document. This additional processing may include including links to or embedding media items in pages of the device specific language document. The remote device can be arranged as a client device that provides for wired and/or wireless communication over a network.

  • Patent number: 9355185
Abstract: An online article is enhanced by displaying, in association with the article, supplemental content that includes entities that are extracted from the article and/or entities that are related to entities that are extracted from the article. The supplemental content further includes information about each of the entities. The information about an entity may be obtained by searching for the entity in one or more searchable repositories of data. For example, the supplemental content may include, for each entity, video, image, web, and/or news search results. The supplemental content may further include information such as stock quotes, abstracts, maps, scores, and so on. The entities are selected using a variety of analysis and ranking techniques based on contextual factors such as user-specific information, time-sensitive popularity trends, grammatical features, search result quality, and so on. The entities may further be selected for purposes such as generating ad-based revenue.

  • Publication number: 20140033595
Abstract: The present invention provides a partially-chamberable laser bore sight primarily for small caliber rimfire handguns and rifles of 0.17 and 0.22 caliber. The partially-chamberable laser bore sight has a chamberable generally cylindrical laser housing, which contains the laser diode and lens. A battery housing that is perpendicular to and rigidly joined to the cylindrical laser housing contains the electro-chemical cells that power the laser diode. For a preferred embodiment of the invention, the cylindrical laser housing, which is preferably made of brass, is inserted into a mold and the battery housing is injection molded around the cylindrical laser housing. An ON/OFF switch is also mounted on the battery housing. The chamberable cylindrical laser housing is inserted within the breech, or chamber, of the firearm. The battery housing, with its ON/OFF switch, protrudes from the breech opening.

  • Publication number: 20120120394
Abstract: A microscanning system including a microscope, a relay lens device, a stepping motor and a hyper-spectrometer is disclosed. The microscope is adapted to acquire and enlarge an image of an object to generate an enlarged image which is a 2D image distributed along the first direction and second direction. The relay lenses device disposed behind the microscope receives and transfers the enlarged image outputted by the microscope. The stepping motor electrically connected to the relay lens device reciprocates the relay lens linearly in the first direction device in a stepwise manner along the second direction. . The hyper-spectrometer disposed behind the rely lens device receives the partial enlarged images of the object along the first direction that are transferred by the relay lens device sequentially along the second direction, and transform the partially enlarged images into the corresponding spectrum information.

  • Patent number: 7800170
Abstract: The present invention discloses a power MOSFET device with an added tungsten spacer in its contact hole, and manufacturing methods for the device. The features of the device are as follows: It includes trench gate isolated in trench and source/body contacts formed in the contact hole, and the tungsten spacer between Ti/TiN barrier layer and aluminum metal layer, the tungsten spacer is deposited on the bottom corners of the contact hole to cover its bottom corners. The addition of tungsten spacer to the bottom corners of the contact hole can effectively eliminate the presence of pits at the corners and junction spiking due to poor step-coverage of the Ti/TiN barrier layer otherwise leading to direct contact of silicon with aluminum. Thus, the present invention prevents a power MOSFET device from failures due to Idss leakage thus insuring high device quality and yield.

  • Publication number: 20080177825
Abstract: A platform for customized rendering of an editable mobile markup language document for a mobile device. A rendering context and an editable mobile markup language (MML) document for the mobile device is received by the platform, which performs processes that can paginate and fully render pages that are subsequently delivered for display by the mobile device. The MML document and its modules and content are independent of the rendering context for the mobile device. The mobile device can be arranged as a client device that provides for wired and/or wireless communication over a network.
