  • Publication number: 20070252792
Abstract: A noisy signal analysis in which a threshold value is set to evaluate the presentation of the display device. The analysis can produce the range of noise level of the image for measuring the distortion block of image caused by the display devices. Furthermore, the apparatus includes a step function generator for producing step functions, a transforming unit for changing threshold value in step functions, and a display for showing the image corresponding to both the high value and low value.

  • Publication number: 20070025644
Abstract: A graphics display adapter has a row interpolator circuit connected to receive the source pixel data synchronized at a first clock rate and to interpolate groups of pixels of row at a second clock rate. A row interpolated storage device receives and retains interpolated source pixel data of each row at the second clock rate. A column interpolator circuit extracts the interpolated source pixel data at a third clock rate. The column interpolator circuit then interpolates groupings of the interpolated source pixel data at the third clock rate and transmits the destination graphic pixel data for display. The second clock rate maybe equal to the first clock rate or the faster of the first and third clock rates.

  • Patent number: 6226106
Abstract: The scanning system with a retractable scanning portion in the present invention includes a frame and an image capturing device. The frame provides a space for receiving parts of the scanning system. The image capturing device is retractably mounted within the frame. The scanning system can further includes means for guiding a document into the image capturing device. Means for retracting the image capturing device from the frame can also be added. The document guiding means can be a foldable paper guide which is attached with the image capturing device and can be received into the frame with the image capturing device. In addition, the foldable paper guide has a pair of sildable guiding keys which are mounted on the foldable paper guide and slidably in parallel with a document front. The scanning system can be mounted to a computer, a keyboard, a monitor, or a printer by the frame.

  • Patent number: 6141704
Abstract: A method of controlling a parallel port for connecting multiple devices is disclosed. The method controls the connection between a computer and one of the peripheral devices by way of using the different on-line codes corresponding to the peripheral devices respectively. Further, a common off-line code is set and shared by all peripheral devices. When the off-line code is sent out, all peripheral devices are disconnected from the computer, and the control status of the previous on-line device is backed up for the use of recovering the previous on-line state. Furthermore, a parallel port for connecting multiple devices is also proposed to incorporate with the controlling method such that the computer can switch the on-line state between an on-line peripheral device and the other peripheral standby devices.

  • Patent number: 5786903
Abstract: The present invention discloses a multi-power control system for scanners. The method of the present invention has a mode of warm up time, which is controlled by a software that is embeded in a computer. Users can choose a mode of warm up time to control the warm up duration when a cathode ray tube needs. After scanning, users can determine whether the scanner is to operate or in standby status. When the user chooses the latter, the luminosity of the cathode ray tube is according to the user's pre-set. This multi-power control system not only can reduce the warm up time but also can be in harmony with the concept of enviromental protection.
