  • Publication number: 20100000423
Abstract: A peeling apparatus includes a peel body and a ceramic blade unit. The peel body has a handgrip part and two carrier arms extending from a distal end of the handgrip part. The ceramic blade unit has two opposite sides connected pivotally to the carrier arms, an inner cutting edge and an outer blunt edge extending between the opposite sides so as to expose the outer blunt edge to an exterior thereof. The inner cutting edge is used for peeling an external surface of fruit and vegetable, and the outer blunt edge is easy shoveled off waste resulted from peeling operation of the inner cutting edge.

  • Patent number: 6205941
Abstract: A sewing machine includes a machine bed, a presser foot and a needle seat. The presser foot and the needle seat are disposed vertically and movably on the machine bed. A row of vertical stitching needles of different lengths are mounted fixedly on the needle seat, and are arranged one behind another. A front one of each adjacent pair of the stitching needles has a lower end, which is located below that of the rear one. A thread pushing device is disposed on the machine bed behind the needle seat, and includes a needle-thread pushing member that can be driven by a power source and that is adapted to move gradually forward and downward between the presser foot and the stitching needles along a curved path so as to be adapted to push suspended needle threads away from the presser foot just before the presser foot moves downward toward a fabric to be stitched on the machine bed.

  • Patent number: 6032598
Abstract: A scissors-type thread-cutting device for a sewing machine includes an elongated base, which is adapted to be fixed on the machine bed. An elongated first blade member is mounted telescopically on and locked releasably on the base, and is movable lengthwise on the same when released. A sliding member can move lengthwise on the first blade member. A driving unit is adapted to be disposed on the machine bed for activating the sliding member to reciprocate on the first blade member. An elongated second blade member is mounted telescopically on and locked releasably on the sliding member, and presses against the first blade member. The first and second blade members have intersecting cutting edges, which are adapted to cut a thread therebetween during movement of the second blade member relative to the first blade member.

  • Patent number: 5887535
Abstract: A thread cutting device for a sewing machine includes a horizontal base plate, an elongated horizontal feed plate and an elongated horizontal cutting plate. A driving rod is mounted pivotally on the base plate, and can be swung by a driving unit to swing the feed plate and the cutting plate on the base plate. When the feed plate moves forward toward a thread-engaging needle, a projection of the feed plate contacts a fixed stop member of the base plate so as to prevent further forward movement of the feed plate, thereby permitting forward movement of the cutting plate relative to the feed plate. At this time, the cutting plate is guided to move to a front limit position in a direction parallel to the needle. In this way, when the cutter is driven by the driving unit to move rearward from the front limit position, a row of threads can be effectively cut off by the cutter.
