The essential oil composition includes a eutectic composition and an essential oil; the eutectic composition includes a hydrogen-bond donor and a hydrogen-bond acceptor; the hydrogen-bond donor is geranic acid or derivatives of the geranic acid; the hydrogen-bond acceptor is choline or derivatives or hydrates of the choline; a mass ratio of the hydrogen-bond donor to the hydrogen-bond acceptor is 1-10:1-10.

Abstract: The present technology relates to methods, computing devices, and systems for identifying somatic mutational signatures (e.g., cancer, aging) from whole genome sequencing (e.g., low coverage WGS) of cell-free DNA (cfDNA) obtained from subjects. Machine learning techniques may be applied to cfDNA mutational profiles, permitting accurate discrimination between cancer patients and healthy individuals or discrimination between different cancer types.

Abstract: A radio frequency (RF) screen for a microwave powered ultraviolet (UV) lamp system is disclosed. In one example, a disclosed RF screen includes: a sheet comprising a conductive material; and a frame around edges of the sheet. The conductive material defines a predetermined mesh pattern of individual openings across substantially an operative area of the screen. Each of the individual openings has a triangular shape.

Abstract: Described herein are high stiffness, snappable food contact material compositions containing at least one polypropylene, a hydrocarbon resin, and optionally one or more other additives. The disclosed compositions exhibit a combination of mechanical, chemical, and/or optical properties that enable wider use of such polypropylene-based compositions in food packaging applications, including in Form-Fill-Seal food packaging where high stiffness, snappability, thin walls, and good clarity are important factors. Also described herein are articles comprising the disclosed compositions and methods of manufacturing such articles.

Abstract: A vibrotactile device and method including an audio signal input unit, manual parameter input unit, microcontroller, vibration motor controller, and at least one vibration motor are provided. The microcontroller is coupled to the audio signal input unit and manual parameter input unit. The vibration motor controller is coupled to the microcontroller and the at least one vibration motor. At least one signal is generated by at least the audio signal input unit or the manual parameter input unit. A modulated signal is generated based, in part, on a filtered signal from the audio signal input unit and a vibration duty cycle is generated, based on a tempo value and a note value of the manual parameter input unit, to generate at least one driving parameter, respectively. The vibration motor controller drives the at least one vibration motor based on the at least one driving parameter.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a continuous process for producing a foamable celluloid product by introducing a solid component (comprising nitrocellulose, chemical blowing agent (CBA), stabilizer and alcohol) and a liquid component (comprising camphor and acetone) into a mixer/devolatilizer machine where the chamber is under atmospheric pressure and having significant overhead space. The chamber is comprised of two zones wherein the first zone has a temperature that is less than the second zone and at least one rotor comprising hollow, temperature-controlled arms having a tilted angle affixed to the rotors. The rotors of the mixer/devolatilizer machine act to mix the solid and liquid components under lower shearing forces, lower mechanical stress and longer residence times than those used by twin-screw extruders.

The system receives user input for validating an identified activity template by referencing the requirements data. Abstract: The present invention is directed to a process for making combustible foam celluloid munition parts having high aspect ratios, different densities or having an insert embedded into the foam celluloid munition part. The process for making such foam celluloid munition part requires pre-soaking dry particles of celluloid, placing the celluloid particles into a munition part mold, exposing the celluloid particles to high heat and pressure until the celluloid particles expand and fuse into the shape of the mold. Varying the density or the size of the celluloid particles used in the process produces munition parts having different densities. In addition, the placement of inserts into the particles prior to exposure to high heat and pressure produces munition parts having inserts that are useful for identification and tracking of such parts.

Abstract: A wet chemistry method for preparing spherical celluloid beads by mixing a water-based suspension solution and a solvent based celluloid solution that is immiscible in the suspension solution. The two combined solutions create an “oil-in-water” type mixture where the dispersed phase consists of celluloid dissolved in solvent and co-solvent that is suspended in the continuous water phase. Agitation and removal of the solvent and co-solvent mixture produces spherical shaped celluloid beads.
