Abstract: A handheld electronic apparatus including an upper base module is provided. The upper base module includes a proximity/light sensor and a touch controller. The proximity/light sensor detects a distance between the proximity/light detector and an external object according to a light. The touch controller is coupled to the proximity/light detector for controlling a touch control action on a touch sensor of the handheld electronic apparatus.

Abstract: A method for switching applications in a user interface and an electronic apparatus using the same are disclosed herein. The method includes the following steps. Firstly, execute a first application after being unlocked, and detect a sliding operation. Next, determine whether the sliding operation matches a first direction or a second direction. If yes, correspondingly displaying an icon page of a second application. Afterwards, determine whether the sliding operation matching the first direction or the second direction is detected again in a predetermined time. If no, executing the second application.

Abstract: A method for editing an input interface comprises steps of: providing a selection event to select an input unit displayed at a first position; providing a moving event to move the input unit to a second position; setting an input interface for the touch module according to information of the input unit displayed at the second position; and displaying the input interface on the display module. An electronic apparatus using the above method is also disclosed in the invention.
