  • Publication number: 20160112923
Abstract: A method and apparatus for wireless communication avoids handover to a non-best neighbor cell. While in a connected mode of operation, a user equipment (UE) determines whether a neighbor cell is the best cell. When the neighbor cell is not the best cell and a time to trigger (TTT) associated with the neighbor cell expires, the UE delays reporting the non-best neighbor cell to a network.

  • Publication number: 20160106258
Abstract: A heating device with an alarm function includes an alarm unit, an input module, a heating unit, a temperature sensor, and a controller. The input module is used for setting a target temperature and an alarm activation time. The heating unit is used for heating a container. The temperature sensor is used for sensing a current temperature of the container. The controller controls the heating unit to heat the container when a current time reaches a predetermined time previous to the alarm activation time. The controller selectively controls the heating unit to stop heating the container or keep the current temperature at the target temperature when the current temperature reaches the target temperature or when the current time reaches the alarm activation time. The controller controls the alarm unit to output an alarm when the current time reaches the alarm activation time.

  • Publication number: 20160111385
Abstract: The described embodiments of mechanisms of forming a package on package (PoP) structure involve bonding with connectors with non-solder metal balls to a packaging substrate. The non-solder metal balls may include a solder coating layer. The connectors with non-solder metal balls can maintain substantially the shape of the connectors and control the height of the bonding structures between upper and lower packages. The connectors with non-solder metal balls are also less likely to result in bridging between connectors or disconnection (or cold joint) of bonded connectors. As a result, the pitch of the connectors with non-solder metal balls can be kept small.

  • Publication number: 20160110564
Abstract: Cryptographic techniques for encrypting images, and decrypting and reconstructing images, are provided to facilitate preventing unauthorized access to images. A holographic cryptographic component (HCC) can generate a global image comprising a scaled version of a source image and random content, generate a phase hologram representing the global image, and encrypt the phase hologram to generate an encrypted hologram based on a random phase mask, which can be the private encryption key. To reconstruct the source image, an HCC can overlay a phase mask, which can be a conjugate of the random phase mask, on the encrypted hologram to decrypt it, and can illuminate the decrypted hologram with a coherent light source. The source image is only reconstructed properly if the correct phase mask is used. If HCC applies the encryption process repetitively to the same source image, HCC can generate a different encrypted hologram in each run.
