Abstract: A communications apparatus includes a receiver and a processor. The receiver is configured to receive wireless signals. The wireless signals include a plurality of packets. The processor is coupled to the receiver and includes a first logic configured to perform operations of a first protocol layer and a second logic configured to perform operations of a second protocol layer higher than the first protocol layer. The operations of the first protocol layer includes: starting a timer in response to receiving a first packet with a first count value that is different from a deliver count value; and delivering a second packet with a second count value that is different from the deliver count value to the second logic before the timer expires.

Abstract: Various examples and schemes pertaining to enhancement of Internet Protocol (IP) Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) signaling reliability in mobile communications are described. A processor of an apparatus receives, at a layer 2 of a New Radio (NR) protocol stack, a packet for a specific type of signaling from an application layer of the NR protocol stack. The processor identifies, at the layer 2, one data radio bear (DRB) to be used for delivery of the packet. The processor then activates a reliability enhancement mechanism for the identified DRB such that a retransmission of the packet via the identified DRB is coordinated at the layer 2 or a layer above the layer 2.

Abstract: DHCP methods adopted by a slave device connected to a host device are disclosed. The method includes: receiving a DHCP discover message from the host device; in response to the DHCP discover message, transmitting a DHCP offer message containing a DHCP renewal time configuration to the host device; receiving a DHCP request message from the host device; and in response to the DHCP request message, transmitting a DHCP acknowledgement message containing a client Internet Protocol (IP) address and the DHCP renewal time configuration to the host device.

Abstract: A mobile communications device, operating as a Mobile Terminal (MT), is provided. In the mobile communications device, a receiver is configured to receive a DHCPv6 INFORMATION-REQUEST message from a Terminal Equipment (TE). A processor is configured to generate a DHCPv6 REPLY message when the MT gets at least one of an IPv6 DNS and a SIP server address. In addition, a transmitter is configured to transmit the DHCPv6 REPLY message to the TE. In operation, the MT transmits the DHCPv6 REPLY message to the TE according to at least one of the DNS and SIP server address from a service network or pre-stored in a memory.
