Abstract: A system, method, and computer-readable medium for providing advertisement data by a network system is provided. A client connects with the network system and receives multimedia data therefrom. The client processes the multimedia data. Advertisement data is output by a plug-in run by the client in response to processing the multimedia data. The plug-in may transmit metrics of the advertisement data to a data processing system.

Abstract: A method and computer-readable medium for downloading content in a peer-to-peer network is provided. A client detects a download event associated with an identifier of a file and submits a query that includes an identifier of a file to an indexing server. The client receives a peer list including connectivity information of a peer node that has stored at least a portion of content of the file. The client then connects wit the peer node, and downloads the portion from the peer node.

Abstract: A method and computer-readable medium for identifying multimedia content in a peer-to-peer network is provided. A multimedia data structure is segmented into a plurality of data blocks. Each of a plurality of sequence numbers is respectively associated with one of the plurality of data blocks. The plurality of data blocks are stored, and the plurality of sequence numbers are recorded. At least a portion of the plurality of data blocks are distributed in the peer-to-peer network in association with respective sequence numbers.

Abstract: A method and system for accelerating downloading and displaying of content in web pages in a peer-to-peer network is provided. A peer-to-peer network client captures a download request from a web browser, and submits a query that includes an identifier of the file to an indexing server. The peer-to-peer network client receives a peer list including connectivity information of a peer node that has stored at least a portion of the file content. The peer-to-peer network client then connects with the peer node, and downloads the portion from the peer node. The peer-to-peer client conveys the downloaded portion to the web browser.
