Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems and methods for carpooling. The systems may perform the methods to receive a first intention for a first transportation service of a first subject from a first service requester at a first service intention time; identify an available service provider at the first service intention time; send the service provider a first time point to arrive at a pick-up location and a wait time to stop at the pick-up location before departing from the pick-up location; and send the first service requester a second time point to arrive at the pick-up location.

Abstract: Methods and systems for providing transportation service are described. The method may include receiving, from a passenger terminal, a transportation service request indicating a first type of service vehicle. The method may further include determining route information associated with the transportation service request, and determining an estimated waiting time for the transportation service request to be fulfilled based on the first type of service vehicle and the route information. The method may also include comparing the estimated waiting time to a predetermined time period, and when the estimated waiting time is equal to or longer than the predetermined time period, determining a second type of service vehicle. The second type of service vehicle may have an estimated waiting time shorter than the predetermined time period. The method may also include transmitting, to the passenger terminal, a message recommending the second type of service vehicle.

Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure provide methods and systems for providing transportation service. The method may include receiving a first transportation service request from a remote passenger terminal and determining a first estimated waiting time of the first transportation service request by a processor. The method may further include determining that the first estimated waiting time is greater than a first predetermined time period by the processor, and generating a second transportation service request comprising a transportation parameter different from that of the first transportation service request by the processor.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for providing transportation service is described. The method can include receiving a first transportation service request from a user terminal device. The method can further include determining, by a processor, an estimated time for the first transportation service request to be fulfilled. The method can also include determining, by the processor, a hypothetical time for the first transportation service request to be fulfilled if switching to a carpool request. The method can also include providing, to the user terminal device, a recommendation to switch to the carpool request when the hypothetical time is less than the estimated time. The method can also include providing a carpool service to fulfill the first transportation service request when an acceptance of the recommendation is received from the user terminal device.
