  • Publication number: 20050265325
Abstract: A system and method to allow voice conference to pass through Internet/Intranet, which include network address translator (NAT). The system also includes an Internet Phone device, a regular PSTN phone, a VoIP gateway and a conference server. The server sends command and data either using transmission control protocol (TCP) or user datagram protocol (UDP), depending on the configuration and protocol requirements of each server. This method is compatible with existing communication standards, such as ITU H.323, session initiation protocol (SIP), media gateway control protocol (MGCP) and media gateway control (MEGACO).

  • Publication number: 20050076128
Abstract: A system and method to allow voice, video and data conference with minimum bandwidth consumption with endpoints in two or more geological locations. The system includes signal server to manage one or multiple media servers. The method supports transmission of only one data stream between two media servers while each media server can support multiple endpoints. The method can achieve voice/video/data quality of service (QoS) and scalability. The servers and endpoints send/receive commands and data using TCP, UDP or any proprietary protocol, depending on server's configuration and protocol requirements. This method is compatible with existing communication standards, such as H.323, SIP, MGCP, MEGACO, and T.120.

  • Publication number: 20040158606
Abstract: A system and method to allow multimedia (voice and video) data communication to pass through enterprise firewalls and proxy, which include network address translator (NAT). The system also includes servers to redirect voice/video data packets to other VoIP standard conforming servers. The redirect server sends command and data either using transmission control protocol (TCP) or user datagram protocol (UDP), depending on the configuration and protocol requirements of each server. This method is compatible with the existing communication standards, such as ITU H.323, session initiation protocol (SIP), media gateway control protocol (MGCP) and media gateway control (MEGACO).

  • Publication number: 20040158586
Abstract: A method of using at least one shared data file for data collaboration for a plurality attendees in a meeting. The method includes first determining a web server for the meeting. Local files are opened by attendees, respectively. A computer program is invoked by the attendees to send a shared file of the local files to the web server through a network with a security level. Wherein, the web server puts the shared file at a specific directory, responds an URL path, and displays the shared file to the attendees. A command is sent to the web server to handle or modify the shared file. Attendee's browser or custom program can update and display shared file in real-time.
