    Abstract: A spectral interrogation device, including: an optical source for emitting a light signal, a measurement optical fibre comprising a series of successive Bragg gratings for reflecting the light signal in different wavelength bands, a reflective optical fibre comprising a total reflection element, a wavelength detector, and an optical switch for switching between a sequence of three operating modes. In a first mode, the light signal emitted by a given optical source is guided from the optical source to a corresponding measurement optical fibre. In a second mode, the light signal is guided to make a predetermined number of return trips in a line formed by a coupling between the measurement optical fibre and a corresponding reflective optical fibre, generating a predetermined delay between the successive gratings. In a third mode, the light signal is guided to a corresponding detector to successively measure the wavelength bands associated with the gratings.

A planar antenna array having a matrix of dual-polarization modulated scattering probes is disposed within a near-field region of the antenna under test (AUT). Electromagnetic energy received from the AUT is converted to a complex electrical signal that is modulated by an electrical modulation signal and radiated as a scattering signal. The resulting electromagnetic scattering signal, received and converted to an electrical signal by another antenna, is used in a holographic image reconstruction operation via a backward-propagation transformation to reconstruct the signal spectrum radiated from the surface of the AUT. Large travel of the CG limits vehicle's performance or renders it inoperable. The embodiments rely on the interaction of the payload and the counter balancing weight through the payload link 18, balancing link 10 main link 14 and battery pylon 8 to substantially reduce the torque generated by the payload in a lopsided position. The embodiments also allow the vehicle carrying the payload to change thrust direction agilely. Finally, the embodiment acts as a mechanical stabilization device for the payload as well. This invention is adaptable to all forms of hover-capable aerial vehicles as well as water-borne vehicles.
