  • Patent number: 11979193
Abstract: A method of modulating an optical camera communication (OCC) signal by an OCC transmission node in an OCC system includes acquiring a binary data signal, grouping the binary data signal for every k bits to convert the binary data signal into a global phase shift signal having an integer value from 0 to M?1 (=2k?1), generating a data signal group by mapping the global phase shift signal to first to Mth mapping sequences in the form of an n*M/2-bit sequence based on a preset symbol group mapping table, generating a pulse wave signal by modulating the data signal group, and blinking each of a plurality of light sources included in the OCC transmission node according to the pulse wave signal. Accordingly, performance of the communication system may be improved.

  • Patent number: 11798662
Abstract: The present invention relates generally to the field of computer-based image recognition. More particularly, the invention relates to methods and systems for the identification, and optionally the quantitation of, discrete objects of biological origin such as cells, cytoplasmic structures, parasites, parasite ova, and the like which are typically the subject of microscopic analysis. The invention may be embodied in the form of a method for training a computer to identify a target biological material in a sample. The method may include accessing a plurality of training images, the training images being obtained by light microscopy of one or more samples containing a target biological material and optionally a non-target biological material. The training images are cropped by a human or a computer to produce cropped images, each of which shows predominantly the target biological material.

  • Publication number: 20120265121
Abstract: A method is described for the photodynamic treatment of a fungal infection in a subject by administering a therapeutically effective amount of a phthalocyanine compound or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof to the subject and activating the phthalocyanine compound with light. The method is useful for treating various dermatophyte infections such as onychomycosis, and in particular fungal infection by Candida and Trichophyton.
