Publication number: 20230399079Abstract: A retrofit kit retrofits a buoy to provide dynamic control of a freeboard of the retrofitted buoy. The retrofit kit includes buoyancy chambers, an air reservoir, and a valve arrangement. A method for retrofitting a buoy retrofits a buoy to provide dynamic control of a freeboard of the retrofitted buoy. The buoyancy chambers surrounding a vertical axis of the buoy with a center of mass of the buoy disposed on the vertical axis below the buoyancy chambers. The buoyancy chambers provide a variable buoyancy ranging from a minimum buoyancy to a maximum buoyancy. The air reservoir inflates of the buoyancy chambers. The valve arrangement dynamically sets the freeboard of the buoy upon inflation and deflation of the buoyancy chambers for varying the variable buoyancy between the minimum buoyancy and the maximum buoyancy.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 8, 2022Publication date: December 14, 2023Inventors: Bret R. Patent number: 10986198Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to multicomputer processing of data from social media service computing platforms and other sources with centralized event control. An event control computing platform may receive information from one or more social media service computing platforms. Subsequently, the event control computing platform may identify, based on the received information, whether a change should be made to user data associated with a user identifiable by the received information. If the information indicates that a change should be made to the user data, then the event control computing platform may extract metadata from the received information to verify the accuracy of the received information. When the metadata verifies the accuracy of the received information, the event control computing platform may generate a command configured to cause a change to the user data and then may transmit the generated command to an event validation computing platform.Type: GrantFiled: October 11, 2019Date of Patent: April 20, 2021Assignee: Bank of America CorporationInventors: Minh Vuong, Cameron Wadley, Susan Varghese, Anna Hollifield, Mohamed A. Patent number: 10977253Abstract: Systems are provided for providing a contextualized set of help topics. A user interaction contextualization system receives a search request for help topics from a user device, responsive to which the user interaction contextualization system retrieves an uncontextualized set of help topics from a help topics index. The user interaction contextualization system may collect and analyze contextual data from various data sources, and real-time and historical user engagement data associated with the user. The user interaction contextualization system may then use the collected data to generate a contextualized set of help topics.Type: GrantFiled: January 3, 2019Date of Patent: April 13, 2021Assignee: Bank of America CorporationInventors: Cameron Wadley, Jiyoung Choi, Hamid Dalglijli, Thomas H. Patent number: 9038488Abstract: Methods and devices for inline sampling of a bulk material, such as a powder, are provided. The material's bulk density can be determined from samples drawn using methods and devices described herein. One embodiment of a method of sampling a material allows the material to flow through a sampling compartment, closes off the flow of material below the sampling compartment, builds up a column of material through the sampling compartment, shifts the sampling compartment to remove a slice of material in the column, and places the slice of material into a sample container. A device for sampling a material is provided in another embodiment. The device includes an inlet, an outlet aligned with the inlet, and a sample collector. The sample collector can include at least one through hole and be configured to move such that the at least one through hole can be moved into and out of alignment with the inlet and the outlet.Type: GrantFiled: February 25, 2013Date of Patent: May 26, 2015Assignee: Vertex Pharmaceuticals, Inc.Inventors: James E.
