Abstract: In a wireless communication system, a transmitter that transmits data and a plurality of receivers wirelessly communicate with each other. The transmitter includes a first storage unit that stores first identification information of one of the receivers; a first communication unit that transmits the data; and a switching unit that switches a transmission destination of the data to another receiver having the first identification information stored in the first storage unit. The receiver includes a second storage unit that stores second identification information of a plurality of the transmitters; and a second communication unit that receives the data from the transmitter having the second identification information. Both the transmitter and the receiver store the first identification information and the second identification information to each other.

Abstract: Virtual straight lines are parallelly shifted at regular intervals from starting points, which are four vertexes of a rectangular-shaped captured image, toward the center of the captured image, the virtual straight lines being tilted at an angle of a predetermined degree with respect to coordinate axes extending along two mutually orthogonally intersecting edges of the captured image. While doing so, intersection points between the virtual straight lines and outline elements are obtained. Based on the intersection points, angular points of a contour of a document is obtained. Based on the angular points, a mesh model is generated.

Abstract: An image processing apparatus according to the present invention has an effect which enables to obtain a cutout image by directly specifying an area with a pointer such as a finger or the like on a paper surface of a document such as a book or the like. The present invention is useful as an image processing apparatus and a document scanning system having the same, the image processing apparatus processing an image obtained by scanning a paper surface of a document such as a book or the like.

Abstract: A portable telephone apparatus capable of avoiding a troublesome operation for responding to an incoming call is provided. The portable telephone apparatus having a flip-lid includes a radio circuit section for transmitting or receiving a signal to/from a radio base station, a radio control circuit section for controlling the radio circuit section, and a flip-lid state detecting circuit for detecting an opening/closing state of the flip-lid. The radio control circuit section changes a responding method to an incoming call when opening the flip-lid is determined by the flip-lid state detecting circuit.
