  • Patent number: 9376763
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a group III nitride crystal on a seed crystal in a holding vessel holding therein a melt containing a group III metal, an alkali metal and nitrogen. The manufacturing method comprises the steps of causing the seed crystal to make a contact with the melt, setting an environment of the seed crystal to a first state offset from a crystal growth condition while in a state in which said seed crystal is in contact with the melt, increasing a nitrogen concentration in the melt, and setting the environment of the seed crystal to a second state suitable for crystal growth when the nitrogen concentration of the melt has reached a concentration suitable for growing the seed crystal.

  • Patent number: 9332623
Abstract: A high-voltage discharge lamp illumination device comprises a pulse generation part which generates pulse waves, and a power supply part which receives a DC voltage and converts the DC voltage into the AC current in correspondence to a frequency of the pulse waves so as to supply the AC current to the lamp. The pulse generation part repeats a cycle of outputting a first pulse wave over a first period, and thereafter outputting a second pulse wave having a lower frequency than the first pulse wave over a second period shorter than the first period. The pulse generation part returns to the cycle after outputting a third pulse wave having a frequency which is further lower than the second pulse wave in place of the second pulse wave, at a predetermined timing.

  • Patent number: 9026397
Abstract: A diagnosing operation controlling portion compares the magnitude of change of a control instruction value that controls the dislocation of a valve stem to a reference value that has been set in advance, and stops the malfunction evaluation operation in a diagnosing portion if the magnitude of change per unit time in the control instruction value exceeds a reference value. If the magnitude of change per unit time in the control instruction value exceeds the reference value, then the evaluation may be the same as for a case wherein a stick-slip has occurred, even if the operation is functioning properly. In contrast, it is possible to prevent incorrect stick-slip evaluations by stopping the operation of the diagnosing portion when the magnitude of change per unit time in the control instruction value exceeds a reference value.

  • Patent number: 8344770
Abstract: A PLL circuit is provided capable of reducing phase noise and facilitating design. In the PLL circuit, a PLL receives a reference frequency and an output from a VC-TCXO, performs a lock operation. In a lock state, a selector selects an output of a first divider that divides the reference frequency. When PLL detects input of reference frequency being lost or an unlock state, the PLL outputs an alarm signal to the selector. When receiving the alarm signal from the PLL, the selector switches from the output of the first divider to an output of a second divider that frequency-divides an output of the VC-TCXO, and outputs the same. Then, a PLL receives an output of the selector and an output of a VCXO and performs a lock operation.

  • Publication number: 20110224949
Abstract: For example, a regulator valve may be controlled from the outside through a positioner, or may be controlled autonomously by an adjusting mechanism in the valve. The result of the control is a change in the dislocation of the valve stem (movable portion). Additionally, there will be a change in a process change magnitude, such as the magnitude of flow of a fluid that passes through the regulator valve, in accordance with the magnitude of dislocation of the valve stem. In this way, the diagnosing operation controlling portion controls the operation of the diagnosing portion based on the magnitude of dislocation of the valve stem or on the magnitude of change of the measurement results (the measurement value) of a process change magnitude.
