  • Patent number: 5333933
Abstract: A seat with a trim cover assembly having plural stitches thereon, wherein the stitches are arranged in a non-parallel relation with one another on one unitary sheet of the trim cover assembly which is affixed over a cushion body. Those patterns of stitches are formed at one time by means of a multiple-needle sewing machine.

  • Patent number: 5193474
Abstract: A method of feeding a unitary sheet of trim cover assembly to a multiple-needle sewing machine for creating plural stitches thereon, in which non-parallel stitches are formed among parallel stitches on the trim cover assembly by means of a guide member having a sloped portion. The sloped configuration of the guide member causes formation of sloped, folded portion in the trim cover assembly, and the trim cover assembly with such folded portion is fed to the multiple-needle sewing machine.

  • Patent number: 4920923
Abstract: A poultry breeding method comprises the steps of providing a cage device for hens with an independent cage section so as to be free from contact with the other cages and auxiliary devices of the cage device, providing the independent cage section with a weight sensor for producing an electric signal representing the actual weight of hens housed in the cages of the independent cage section, applying the electric signal from the weight sensor to an electronic control device having stored therein ideal hen weight data relating to the hens housed in the cages, comparing the ideal hen weight data with the actual weight represented by the electronic signal, and using the result of the comparison for controlling the operation of a device for supplying feed to the hens. The method enables the hens to maintain at their ideal weight and their fecundity to be increased.

  • Patent number: 4247971
Abstract: Chemicals, such as soap, are stuck to fibrous articles, such as metallic wire, by injecting a high-temperature and high-pressure chemical solution into the fibrous article whereby flash evaporation of the solution's solvent effects a uniform distribution and adhesion of the chemical throughout the article.

  • Patent number: 4206788
Abstract: A method for controlling the rate of filling bottles as they are moved by a rotary table, in which position indicating devices are attached to the pistons which move the filling nozzles up and down in the vertical direction, the position indicating devices are detected just before the bottles are discharged from the rotary table to determine whether filling of the bottles is completed by means of two piston position detecting devices A and B which devices are circumferentially spaced-apart so as to define an included angle .theta. of 10.degree. to 30.degree. with respect to the center of the rotary table, and the rotation speed of the rotary table is increased or decreased so that the proportion of completely filled bottles detected by the first or leading detecting device A during each rotation of the rotary table is less than 100% but the proportion of completely filled bottles detected by the second or trailing detecting device B during each rotation of the rotary table is 100%.

  • Patent number: 3930574
Abstract: An apparatus for transporting and accumulating containers, specifically oval containers. A pair of opposed side guides are mounted adjacent a conveyer and define a transporting passage therebetween having a width only slightly greater than the small diameter of the containers so that the containers are transported therethrough in a direction substantially parallel with their long diameters. The conveyer has a further pair of side guides associated therewith spaced downstream from the first-mentioned side guides and spaced apart by distance substantially equal to the long diameter of the containers for permitting the containers to be accumulated substantially adjacent one another with the containers disposed with the long diameters thereof extending substantially transverse to the direction of conveyer travel.
