Abstract: A sugar ester derivative of the general formula (I) ##STR1## wherein G stands for a group of the formula (A) ##STR2## or a group of the formula (B) ##STR3## wherein .lambda. means 0 or 1; at least one of R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 means an ester residue of a saturated or unsaturated fatty acid having 1-30 carbon atoms and the other group means hydrogen atom or acetyl group, and R.sub.3 means a group of the formula (C) ##STR4## wherein X means a halogen atom, m means an integer of 0 to 4, Y means hydroxy group, an alkoxy group, a carboxyl group or sulfonic acid group, n means 0 or 1 and Z means nitro group or nitrovinyl group and its use.

Abstract: Different from conventional uricase products, the uricase of the present invention has outstandingly high thermal stability and is active in a wide range of pH from 5 to 10 for the oxidative decomposition of uric acid undertaken in clinical analysis. The uricase of the invention is produced microbiologically by a thermophilic microorganism belonging to the genus of Bacillus and especially named as Bacillus sp. TB-90 which is a novel species distinguishable from any of the microorganisms belonging to the genus of Bacillus.

Abstract: A floating type magnetic head includes a magnetic core which is secured to a slider. The magnetic core is secured to the slider by glass or a synthetic resin on the rail surface side. It is secured to the slider on the other side by heating and melting the glass rod placed on a groove which is provided on a wiring groove of the slider for receiving the glass rod, whereby the magnetic core is securely fixed to the slider, which leads to the stabilization of the properties of the head and the improvement of the reliability.

Abstract: A polysaccharide RON substance having the ultraviolet absorption spectrum depicted in FIG. 1, the infrared absorption spectrum depicted in FIG. 2 and the .sup.13 C-NMR spectrum depicted in FIG. 3 is obtained from rice bran by extraction and purification; and pharmacological composition containing said RON substance.
