  • Patent number: 6755267
Abstract: The present invention aims to provide an electric vehicle which provides good usability for a user and is economical and to provide a control device for an electric vehicle, which is high in reliability. An AC motor is used as a motor for driving running or driving wheels, and DC motors are respectively used as a steering auxiliary motor and a motor for driving a forklift device. Further, in order to achieve the above aim, an inverter circuit and chopper circuits are connected in parallel with a battery, and an electrolytic capacitor is connected in parallel with the inverter circuit, whereas an electrolytic capacitor is connected in parallel with the chopper circuit.

  • Patent number: 6636008
Abstract: The electric car controller is characterized in that evaluation two-phase/three-phase converting means (15) for calculating a three-phase evaluation current indication value is provided in control means, and current detected value from current detecting means (8) and evaluation current indication value are compared with each other by a deviation computing means (17). This result is evaluated by error evaluation means (18), and is sent to target command computing means (10), whereby the operation of a drive apparatus is stopped or continued.

  • Patent number: 6213571
Abstract: Problems of a dead-time due to a make-contact delay time until the closure of the regeneration contactor and a drop of torque occurring in the prior art controller for an electric vehicle are solved by the invention, thereby providing an improved drive feeling during transition from its regenerating braking to plugging braking. Specifically, a regeneration contactor's contact voltage is entered to the arithmetic unit, upon set-up of a condition for stopping the regenerating braking, the control for closing the regeneration contactor is executed, and immediately upon detection of the actual closure thereof, the switching operation is cut off at a timing faster than the switching cycle thereby allowing for the transition to the plugging braking to be enabled.

  • Patent number: 5136219
Abstract: The present invention is directed to an electric-car controller comprising a chopper for controlling the speed of a DC motor, a by-pass contactor for applying a DC source voltage directly to the DC motor, means for detecting that an acceleration command has reached a certain specified value or above, means for detecting that the acceleration of the car has dropped to a certain specified value or below, and means for turning on the by-pass contactor when the acceleration command has reached the certain specified value or above and the acceleration of the car has dropped to the certain specified value or below.

  • Patent number: 4458186
Abstract: A transistor control device in a power transistor chopper is arranged to charge a capacitor for feeding a base current to the chopper transistor with electrical energy stored in an impedance of a wiring connecting a DC power source to a load to which the load current is supplied from the DC power source through the chopper.

  • Patent number: 4124088
Abstract: A velocity at the time when the accelerator of a vehicle is released is stored under a certain condition in advance, and the stored vehicle velocity and an actual vehicle velocity are compared. When the actual vehicle velocity becomes greater than the stored vehicle velocity by a predetermined value, the downward inclination of a running road surface is regarded as exceeding a predetermined value, and safety means such as a brake is driven. As compared with a case of employing an inclination angle sensor such as a mercury switch, the device operates accurately without being influenced by a change in the vibration or acceleration of the vehicle.
