  • Patent number: 11937003
Abstract: According to one embodiment, a solid-state image sensor includes a linear array of pixels, a timing generator that outputs a pulse signal, a plurality of clock drivers that generate each generate a different drive signal based on the pulse signal, an analog shift register that transfers the signal charges in one direction along the linear array by applying the drive signals to the respective transfer blocks. The plurality of drive signals generated by the plurality of clock drivers each have a different phase.

  • Patent number: 10855944
Abstract: A solid-state image pickup apparatus includes a light receiving element, a reading gate, a former-stage storage unit, a latter-stage storage unit, a floating diffusion, an amplification transistor, a reset transistor, and an address transistor. The former-stage storage unit stores a signal charge read from the light receiving element. The latter-stage storage unit stores the signal charge transported from the former-stage storage unit. The floating diffusion converts the signal charge transferred from the latter-stage storage unit into a signal voltage.

  • Patent number: 7898586
Abstract: A shift gate is arranged to be adjacent to a pixel column including a plurality of photosensitive pixels. The shift gate controls a storage time of a signal charge generated in the photosensitive pixels based on a shift pulse signal. The signal charge generated in the photosensitive pixels is transferred to an analog shift register via the shift gate. The analog shift register has a plurality of transfer stages independently driven using a plurality of drive signals. The signal charge generated in the photosensitive pixels is successively transferred by the transfer stages, and detected by an output unit provided at an end portion of the analog shift register so that an output signal is converted. The analog shift register makes an addition of the signal charges in accordance with drive signals when the transfer stages transfer the signal charges.

  • Patent number: 6798454
Abstract: Every time signal charges, which are generated in pixels “1”, “3”, “5”, . . . of one 1a of pixel rows 1a and 1b spaced from each other by a distance D, are transferred to a final stage 4a of an analog shift register 3a to be fed to a charge detecting part 5 in synchronism with a transfer clock &PHgr;1B, a reset pulse RS is generated to discharge the signal charges to a reset drain 8. Signal charges, which are generated in pixels “2”, “4”, “6”, . . . of the other pixel row 1b, are transferred to a final stage 4b of an analog shift register 3b, and then, stored in a capacity 6 of the charge detecting part 5 in synchronism with a transfer clock &PHgr;2B. Then, the quantity of the stored signal charges is read out, and the stored signal charges are outputted from an output circuit 9 as an output signal OS.
