  • Publication number: 20240034834
Abstract: A powder containing a resin composition for powder additive manufacturing, wherein the resin composition includes an aromatic polyester-based resin; and a 50% impact brittleness temperature of the resin composition measured by the brittleness temperature test described in JIS K7216 at a holding time of 3 minutes, a temperature ticking interval of 5° C., and a temperature range of ?70° C. to 25° is in a range of ?45° C. or higher and 10° C. or lower.

  • Publication number: 20220348762
Abstract: To provide resin composition, a pellet and a powder for use in new powder additive manufacturing, as well as a shaped article using the same, and a method for manufacturing such shaped article. The resin composition comprises a polybutylene terephthalate that contains a terephthalic acid-derived structural unit and a 1,4-butanediol-derived structural unit, for use in powder additive manufacturing, the resin composition having a value (?), defined by mathematical formula [1] below, of 40 or smaller: ?=|(MVR1?MVR0)/MVR0|×100??[1] where, MVR0 is melt volume flow rate (in cm3/10 min), and MVR1 is melt volume flow rate (in cm3/10 min).

  • Publication number: 20210323194
Abstract: A powder for powder bed fusion has a grain size distribution where D10 is not less than 20 ?m and not more than 42 ?m, D50 is not less than 42 ?m and not more than 70 ?m, and D90 is not more than 100 ?m, and includes polybutylene terephthalate having a melting peak half width in a DSC chart of not less than 1° C. and not more than 10° C. The powder for powder bed fusion benefits from excellent crushability and is prevented from the elongation of the particles or the softening of the resin even when the resin has been pulverized with a rotary blade or the like, and can form a uniformly thick powder layer without vacancies in a printing process and thus can be built up into a desired article with high accuracy.
