  • Patent number: 6936080
Abstract: A positive electrode plate (8), a negative electrode plate (4), and a separator (7) respectively having lengths required for constituting one spiral electrode group (103) are mounted on individual mount jigs (30, 32, 28) for pulling out or for winding, thereby constituting individual cassettes (29, 31, 27). These individual cassettes (29, 31, 27) are sequentially supplied for, and then mounted on a plurality of group winding head units (20) circulating along a predetermined transportation path. The electrode plates (8, 4) and the separator (7) are wound around a rotationally-driven winding shaft (22) of the group winding head unit (20) while the individual electrode plates (8, 4) supplied from the individual electrode plate cassettes (29, 31) are being positioned at predetermined relative positions on both sides of the separator (7) supplied from the separator cassette (27) in a process for circularly transporting the group winding head units (20).

  • Patent number: 6692542
Abstract: A separator is inserted into a slit formed in a winding core. A negative electrode plate made of thin metallic foil is fed toward the winding core as being held around the circumferential surface of a tape suction drum that is rotatably supported. The tape suction drum and the winding core are brought in mutual contact under pressure with their respective axes in parallel, and the winding core is driven to rotate, so that the tape suction drum is synchronously rotated with the winding core, by means of the frictional force acting between them, whereby the negative electrode plate held on the tape suction drum is wound onto the winding core together with the separator.

  • Patent number: 4316225
Abstract: In a rotary head assembly for a magnetic recording and reproducing device of the type in which rotary head member is engaged through a hydraulic bearing with a shaft whose one end is securely fixed to a base and the other end is free, the position of a thrust supporting member formed at the free end of the shaft is suitably selected so as to minimize the adverse effects caused by the thermal expansions of the component parts whereby the variation in relative position between the head and tape due to the temperature variation can be minimized and the high radial rigidity can be attained.

  • Patent number: 4306254
Abstract: In a magnetic recording and reproducing device for recording a video signal intermittently by a rotary magnetic head, a skewing of the reproduced image can be prevented by controlling the rotation phase of the rotary magnetic head so as to record the horizontal synchronizing signals of the adjacent two tracks so that the phases are conincident, and also a skewing of a reproduced still image can be prevented by controlling the angular velocity of the rotary magnetic head so as to record an integral number of the horizontal synchronizing signals on a scanning trace of the head when the magnetic tape is stopped.

  • Patent number: 4241365
Abstract: In a magnetic recording and reproducing device for recording a video signal intermittently by a rotary magnetic head, a capstan motor is rotated by .alpha. or .alpha./.beta. pulses applied to a pulse generator for moving a magnetic tape exactly a length for one track or 1/.beta. of that length, .alpha. being a positive integer other than a prime number and .beta. being a positive integer other than 1, so the head can scan just one track correctly.

  • Patent number: 4212039
Abstract: The present invention is a novel tape drive system in a magnetic recording and reproducing device for recording a video signal intermittently by a rotary magnetic head and recording an audio signal continuously over a wide range of predetermined tape speeds. In a high speed range a conventional brushless DC motor drives the tape. In a low speed range the same motor is driven by additional pulses. The lowest speed in the high speed range is higher than the highest speed in the low speed range.

  • Patent number: 4117519
Abstract: A guide drum apparatus includes: a stator plate having armature windings fixedly mounted on a surface thereof perpendicular to the axis of a center shaft. Rotary magnets are fixedly supported by the center shaft on a plane perpendicular to the axis of the center shaft and face the armature windings so that the magnetic fluxes from the armature windings cause the rotary magnets to rotate according to the operational principle of a brushless d.c. motor. A stationary hollow cylindrical drum coaxially and rotatably mounts the center shaft. A rotary hollow cylindrical drum coaxially and fixedly mounted on the center shaft and has a rotary head fixedly mounted at an outer peripheral surface thereof. The outer surfaces of the stationary and the rotary drums are arranged on the same cylindrical surface to form a magnetic tape guiding surface, and the hollows of the stationary and the rotary drums form a contiguous bore containing all of the rotary magnets, the armature windings and a rotary transformer therein.
