  • Patent number: 10195672
Abstract: Inclined surfaces are formed on a rake face and a recessed groove is formed in the central portion between the inclined surfaces. A groove width of the recessed groove gradually increases from the position of the end cutting edge toward the rear, then gradually decreases such that the recessed groove has a narrowest portion at a position P2 forward of the position P3 of an upper end of a breaker wall and rearward of a positive rake angle rear end position P1, and then gradually increases toward the rear up to the position P3 of the upper end of the breaker wall. The dimensional relation W1<W2<W3 holds, where W1 is the groove width at the end cutting edge, W2 is the groove width at the narrowest portion, and W3 is the groove width at the position P3 of the upper end of the breaker wall.

  • Publication number: 20160319209
Abstract: An apparatus and process for production of a liquid containing fuel that avoid the need to add any extra surfactant and also the need to apply ultrasonic wave energy and attain high stability of minute bubbles, etc. Production apparatus for a liquid containing fuel comprises pump for pressurizing a stored fuel and nanobubble generating unit adapted to inject a liquid containing the pressurized fuel. The apparatus may be equipped with homogenizing means for storing the liquid containing fuel. The process for production of a liquid containing fuel is characterized by sequentially performing storing of a liquid containing fuel in storage means, pressurizing the liquid so as to obtain a high-pressure liquid with a given pressure, injecting the same through a nozzle into a matrix of liquid containing fuel and effecting collision thereof with a wall so that nanobubbles of foreign substance are dispersed in the matrix of liquid containing fuel.

  • Patent number: 6761510
Abstract: A cutting tool is provided which comprises a curved cutting edge at a nose, a pair of straight cutting edges between which the nose is located, and a chamfer extending along the curved cutting edge and the straight cutting edges so as to form a curved ridge at a junction of a portion of the chamfer extending along the curved cutting edge and a tool face. A portion of the chamfer increases in width from a junction of the curved cutting edge and each of the straight cutting edges to a midpoint of the curved cutting edge when observed in plan.

  • Patent number: 6623218
Abstract: A cutting tool and a holder-carrying tool which are capable of lowering the roughness of a surface to be finished (smoothing a surface), during a cutting process are disclosed. A cutting tool is provided on a side portion (on the side of a flank) thereof with a flat drag, which is adapted to remove the ridges and valleys of a surface to be finished, extending between: a terminal end section at which a curved surface of a nose portion terminates; and a flank. Namely, on the inner side of a tangent at the terminal end section of the curved surface of the nose portion, the flat drag is provided in the range of a flat drag angle of 0<&thgr;<5°. A width (w) (viewed from the side of a rake face) of this flat drag is in the range of 0<w≦1.5 mm.

  • Patent number: 6102573
Abstract: A roller chain includes a sintered oil-impregnated bushing loosely fitted coaxially on a connection pin for outer plates, a roller fitted for rotation on and around the sintered oil-impregnated bushing, and a needle roller bearing interposed between the sintered oil-impregnated bushing and the roller and having grease charged therein. Lubricant of the sintered oil-impregnated bushing side and the grease of the needle roller bearing side supplement oil components to each other and the overall amounts of the grease and the lubricant of the roller chain can be effectively utilized to allow the roller chain to be used without supplement lubricant for a long period of time. Thus, the roller chain can suppresses a local out-of-oil condition and make effective use of the overall amount of available oil components of grease to assure a reduced frictional resistance upon running of the roller chain for a long period of time thereby to exhibit a superior abrasion resistance and durability.

  • Patent number: 5402519
Abstract: A neural network system includes a qualitative evaluation section, a neural network section, a quantifying section and a display section. The qualitative evaluation section qualitatively analyzes an unknown data supplied thereto, and normalizes the result of analysis within a predetermined range. The neural network section having a neural network with plural neurons computes the network output data from the normalized unknown data produced by the qualitative evaluation section. Each neuron is connected to plural other neurons through synapses, each of which is assigned an individual weight coefficient. Each neuron is adapted to output an output function value assigned thereto associated with the total sum of the products of the output from the neurons connected thereto and the synapse weight coefficient. The quantifying section quantifies the network output data to produce desired data. The desired data thus produced is displayed on the display section.
