  • Patent number: 5150302
Abstract: Disclosed is a decentralized control method for a corrugator line characterized by the fact that, in the control method for a corrugator line for the continuous production of corrugated boards including the process of bonding a liner to the corrugated medium so as manufacture a single-faced corrugated board, bonding another liner to this single-faced corrugated board so as to fabricate double-faced corrugated boards or sheets, cutting the boards into predetermined lengths, and the like and having a local control unit provided for each process unit which is set up by dividing the aforenoted series of production processes so as to achieve synchronized production control of the line by means of these unit-process local control units which are allotted different functions and which are linked into a multiplex transmission network.

  • Patent number: 5126167
Abstract: In the manufacture of a fiber reinforced plastic armored cable, long reinforcing fibers are impregnated with an uncured thermosetting resin and formed into a predetermined shape to obtain a plurality of rod-like members with the thermosetting resin held uncured. Then the uncured rod-like members are passed through a die of a melt extruder, by which the rod-like members are each coated with a thermoplastic resin layer. The coated layers of the rod-like members are immediately cooled to simultaneously form a plurality of fiber reinforced plastic armoring strands with the thermosetting resin held uncured. The armoring strands thus obtained are wound around a cable which is fed while being rotated. The cable having wound thereon the strands is passed through a die portion of a melt extruder, by which the cable is sheathed with a thermoplastic resin layer which is immediately cooled and solidified.

  • Patent number: 5084221
Abstract: A twisted FRP structure having sufficient strength and flexibility is produced by providing a rod member disposed centrally and twist a plurality of side strands twisted around the rod member in the same direction at a predetermined pitch. At least the side strand includes a composite strand having an FRP element from by impregnating fibers with an uncured thermosetting resin and a thermoplastic coating on such FRP element, the thermosetting resin being cured after the side strands are twisted around the rod member. The twisting pitch is not less than 25 times the outside diameter of the FRP element in the side strand.

  • Patent number: 4886263
Abstract: A method for sorting paperboard blanks into groups of identical length blanks. When an order chanber is effected, the succeeding blanks formed in accordance with the new order are accumulated upon the preceding blanks in an orderly manner by intermittently driving a first conveyor so that the reduction ratio or speed differential becomes relatively small when a blank formed in accordance with the new order arrives at the first conveyor. In an alternate method, the succeeding blanks are positively disposed upon the preceding blanks fed to a first conveyor having a vacuum suction area defined therein by moving each preceding blank a desired distance, so that the vacuum suction area may be exposed behing the preceding blanks.

  • Patent number: 4686261
Abstract: A process for producing a powdery paint additive, comprising by reacting (a) a polymerized fatty acid polyamide resin formed by the reaction of a polymerized fatty acid with a polyamine and soluble in an organic solvent, (b) a fluororesin having a hydroxyl group in its molecular structure and soluble in an organic solvent and (c) a polyisocyanate which functions as a hardening agent for the resins (a) and (b) and which is soluble in an organic solvent to thereby form a hardened reaction product, the reaction being carried out in an organic solvent inert to an isocyanate group, and pulverizing the resulting reaction product. The powdery paint additive thus obtained can be incorporated in various paints to improve the abrasion and weather resistances of a formed paint film and to form a solid decorative pattern on the paint film surface by a single painting operation.
