  • Patent number: 8393966
Abstract: A game system includes a plurality of game apparatuses that can carry out short-range wireless communication with one another. One of the game apparatuses functions as a parent apparatus, and at least one other game apparatus functions as a child apparatus. The parent apparatus transmits transmission verification data a predetermined number of times. Accordingly, the child apparatus receives the transmission verification data from the parent apparatus, and transmits to the parent apparatus the same number of pieces of reception verification data as those of the received transmission verification data. The parent apparatus receives the reception verification data from the child apparatus, and detects the number of the received pieces of reception verification data.

  • Patent number: 7618325
Abstract: A game system includes a plurality of game apparatuses that can carry out short-range wireless communication with one another. Link strength is detected for wireless communication between a parent apparatus and a child apparatus selected as a communication partner thereof. If the link strength is not equal to or more than a predetermined value, the image of a rare item piece is not displayed and the image of a normal item piece alone is displayed even though the partner has the rare item pieces in its possession, for example. Also, the use of the rare item is not permitted. On the other hand, if the link strength is equal to or more than the predetermined value, the use of the rare item is permitted and, if the combination of rare item pieces is successful, for example, the rare item is used.

  • Patent number: 7467998
Abstract: A puzzle image to be solved, and a duplicating block for creating a duplicate character as a copy of a player character are displayed. The duplicate character is, on the basis of at least a fact that the player character is superposed on the duplicating block, generated in the superposed position. A time limit is set for displaying the duplicate character. Then, when a formation or an arrangement pattern formed by the generated duplicate character and the player character satisfies a predetermined condition indicated by the puzzle image, a change, such as displaying an image of movement of a block or opening of a door, for example, is applied to progress of the game.

  • Patent number: 6368551
Abstract: The method for preparation of sintered permanent magnets according to the present invention comprises the steps of: mixing fully fine powder of a crystalline mother alloy for permanent magnet containing a rare-earth element, Fe and B as the essential components with fine powder of zinc oxide, compaction molding the resulted mixture in the presence of a magnetic field, sintering the compacted mixture in vacuum to cause generation of oxygen and metallic zinc by thermal decomposition of the zinc oxide; segregation of a part of metallic component in the mother alloy at the boundary and inside of the mother alloy crystal; formation of amorphous metallic oxide by forced oxidation of the segregated metal with the generated oxygen; crystallization of the amorphous metallic oxide; formation of an epitaxial junction between the crystallized metallic oxide and the mother alloy crystal; and evaporation of the metallic zinc into the vacuum, and quenching the sintered compact.

  • Patent number: 5942053
Abstract: The object of the invention is to provide a composition for permanent magnet with excellent magnetic properties exhibiting well the latent ability of the RFeB system tetragonal compounds. The composition for permanent magnet according to the present invention is a complex of (1) a crystalline RFeB or RFeCoB system compound having a tetragonal crystal structure with lattice constants of a.sub.o about 8.8 .ANG. and c.sub.o about 12 .ANG., in which R is at least one of rare earth elements, and (2) a crystalline neodymium oxide having a cubic crystal structure, in which both crystal grains are epitaxially connected and the RFeB or RFeCoB crystal grains are oriented to the c.sub.o direction. The lattice constant a.sub.o of the cubic Nd.sub.2 O.sub.3 is about 4.4 .ANG. which is the half length of the lattice constant a.sub.o about 8.8 .ANG. for the RFeB or RFeCoB tetragonal crystal, and the epitaxial connection is achieved, and the RFeB or RFeCoB crystal grains are oriented to the c.sub.o direction.
