    Abstract: In an ignition semiconductor device, a self-shut down circuit forcibly turns off an IGBT when an input signal is continuously applied. The self-shut down circuit is formed of a main-current gradual-reduction circuit having a timer circuit, a capacitor, a resistor, and an FET. When the timer circuit, which is actuated when the input signal is input, counts out, the FET is turned on to cause a capacitor, which is connected parallel to a resistor for producing a reference voltage for a current-limiting circuit, to discharge slowly through the resistor, thereby gradually reducing the reference voltage. Correspondingly, the current-limiting circuit reduces the main current to turn off the IGBT. The slow turn-off operation of the IGBT prevents a high voltage from being generated in the ignition coil.

The arc generating portion protrudes in the direction of movement of the movable contact and has a width which gradually decreases from its base portion towards its tip portion. The slide switch is capable of preventing the arc generating portion and the movable contact from having a groove due to wear.

    Abstract: Two leaf springs of substantially identical width which define first and second movable members are superposed on each other at one end and connected together. A movable contact is attached to the thus connected portion. The first movable member has a slot formed in a middle portion thereof. The width of an end portion of the second movable member is set so that the end portion can be inserted in the slot. A supporting member being inserted in the slot has a portion for swingably supporting an edge portion of the slot and another portion for swingably supporting an end portion of the second movable member opposite to the movable contact. The second movable member is curved so that upon application of a operating force to the first movable member the urging direction of the second movable member changes to cause a snap action to thereby selectively bring the movable contact into contact with one of the two fixed contacts.

    Abstract: A radio antenna device having a gain compensating circuit and an antenna wire rigidly secured to the rear window of a motor vehicle, coupled with a moisture preventive heat wire. The antenna wire is secured to the rear window of the motor vehicle so as to reduce the noise in the received radio waves, which results from electrical noise from the vehicle engine, electric generator and electric motor. The rear window also serves as a convenient antenna space. A gain compensating circuit is provided for compensating for the reduction in the level of the received radio wave, which reduction is caused by the shielding action of the moisture preventive heat wire secured to the rear window and the portion of the body of the vehicle, which extends along the periphery of a rear window.
