  • Publication number: 20060005741
Abstract: A ship bottom paint additive to prevent or reduce marine life attachment to the bottoms of ships, and ship bottom paint comprises a mixture of coal ash and diatom earth or beer yeast diatom earth wherein the coal ash is preferably fly ash and the diatom earth or beer yeast diatom earth is preferably a dry powder. The additive is a mixture may have a weight ratio within the range of about 3:1 to 7:1, and may be comprised of about 2.25-10% by weight coal ash and about 0.375-5% by weight diatom earth or beer yeast diatom earth.

  • Publication number: 20040247508
Abstract: Decomposition of dialkyl phthalates exposed to coal fly ash is disclosed. Alkaline constituents eluted from the fly ash in the liquid phase hydrolyze the dialkyl phthalate. The fly ash acts as not only an adsorber but also as a decomposer.

  • Patent number: 5550605
Abstract: A liquid-crystal projector with a light source, a projection lens set, and a liquid-crystal panel arranged between the light source and the projection lens set for displaying a video signal included in an odd field and a video signal included in an even field alternately at a predetermined period of time by the same pixels thereof in synchronization with a vertical synchronizing signal in the video signal. The liquid-crystal projector includes a wedge-shaped prism rotating device arranged between the projection lens set and a screen. The wedge-shaped prism rotating device includes an electromagnetic solenoid for converting a reciprocating motion of a solenoid plunger to a periodic rotational motion of a wedge-shaped prism about its optic axis clockwise and counterclockwise.

  • Patent number: 4245256
Abstract: A color video projector as disclosed which includes a cabinet having a depressed top deck, and a mirror carrying L-shape mounting board pivotally carried by a pair of slidably movable arms, guide grooves on the side edges of said top deck and guide pins protruding from the mounting board ride in the guide grooves during withdrawal of the mounting board. The board can only be rocked to its upright position when the arms are fully extended and can only be rocked back to its original position when the arms are fully extended and from which position the mounting board can be pushed back into the cabinet with the mirror above the top deck.

  • Patent number: 4243321
Abstract: This specification discloses a refractometer of the type in which a sample is introduced onto a prism by a pump device, whereafter the sample is illuminated so that the critical angle of the total reflection determined by the refractive indices of the sample and the prism is measured. The refractometer comprises a substantially rectangular parallelopiped frame member, a cylinder provided within the frame member and having a piston slidably disposed at the upper end thereof, an observation lens barrel disposed laterally within the frame member and in juxtaposed relationship with the cylinder, prism holding means, and reflector means for directing a light beam emergent from the prism to the observation lens barrel.
