  • Publication number: 20080079836
Abstract: There is provided a camera, a lens unit, a camera body and a photographed image processing method that allow a good image to be readily obtained even by using the lens unit having new lens characteristics or that requires to use a new image processing algorism. The camera has the camera body, the lens unit having a photographing optical system for forming an image of an object, image pickup means for picking up the image of the object to convert it into electrical image information and image processing means for processing the image information corresponding to the lens characteristics of the lens unit.

  • Publication number: 20080081562
Abstract: Even when a user carries a different combination of mobile devices on different days, these mobile devices can be flexibly handled as a group. A mobile device system includes a plurality of mobile devices, to each of which unique identification information is assigned. Each mobile device includes a communication unit configured to send the identification information assigned to the mobile device to other mobile devices in the vicinity and to receive identification information from the other mobile devices, and a group registration unit configured to register the identification information received by the communication unit from the other mobile devices as a group.

  • Publication number: 20080081619
Abstract: A plurality of mobile devices interoperate without configuration operation. A mobile device system including a plurality of mobile devices is provided. Each mobile device is operable in one of an independent-operation mode in which the mobile device operates with priority over the other mobile devices and a dependent mode in which the mobile device operates dependently on another mobile device and includes a control unit having a start-up-order detection unit configured to detect the start-up order of the mobile device with respect to the other mobile devices. A first mobile device operates in the independent-operation mode when the start-up order of the first mobile device detected by the start-up-order detection unit is earlier than the start-up order of a second mobile device and operates in the dependent-operation mode when the start-up order is later than the start-up order of the second mobile device.

  • Publication number: 20080081643
Abstract: Even when the user carries a different combination of mobile devices on different days, the system can flexibly respond to those situations and misplacement of a mobile device can be prevented. Each mobile device includes a communication unit for communicating with other mobile devices, a GPS receiver for acquiring current location information of the mobile device, a group registration unit, a function-restricting unit for restricting a predetermined function, and a control unit. In each mobile device, other mobile devices located within a predetermined range of the mobile device are registered in the group registration unit as a group. After the registration, the other mobile devices located within the predetermined range of the mobile device are periodically detected, and the function-restricting unit is operated when the combination of the detected other mobile devices and the combination of the other mobile devices registered in the group registration unit differ.

  • Publication number: 20080079844
Abstract: Sinking when pressing a release button is reduced and hand shaking is suppressed, while maintaining compactness. A digital camera having a volume of 40 to 240 cc and a weight-to-volume ratio of 1.6 to 2.3 g/cc is provided. It has a weight-to-volume ratio sufficiently larger than the weight-to-volume ratio of a conventional standard compact digital camera, thus giving a photographer a greater sense of weight than its visual impression, which allows pictures to be taken while the arm muscles are tensed. Sinking of the digital camera due to pressing a release button can be reduced and hand-shaking suppressed.

  • Publication number: 20080075450
Abstract: There is provided an image taking device with removable optical unit, with which it is possible to operate the power supply of the image taking device body without operating a power switch, and operation of the power supply of the image taking device body is made easy. The image taking device with removable optical element is provided with an image taking device body, a lens unit (optical unit) that is removable with respect to the image taking device body, an attachment detection unit for detecting attachment of the lens unit to the image taking device body, and a system controller (control unit) for turning a power supply of the image taking device body on upon detection of attachment of the lens unit to the image taking device body by the attachment detection unit. The system controller is configured to turn off the power supply of the image taking device body in a state where attachment of the lens unit to the image taking device body is not detected by the attachment detection unit.
