  • Patent number: 6286934
Abstract: A printer cartridge stationarily fixes an ink package and movably provides a print head, and a separate printer body movably provides a carriage. Prior to mounting of the printer cartridge onto the printer body, the print head is held at a fixed position of the printer cartridge by a pressing member. Because the print head is pressed downward by the pressing member, mounting the cartridge onto the printer body will insert the print head into the carriage. After the print head is inserted into the carriage, a pawl and a protrusion of the carriage fit into an engagement groove and an indentation, respectively, in the print head. Also another protrusions of the print head are supported on an upper edge of the carriage. As a result, the print head is mounted onto the carriage in association with mounting of the print cartridge onto the printer body. A printer cartridge has a retaining member formed with an engaging groove, and the print head has a rectangular protrusion.

  • Patent number: 6276787
Abstract: An ink package has a shape restoring ability and is made of a laminated structure film material in which multiple film sheets of polyethylene or similar material are laminated. Therefore, the ink supplying pressure for ink supplied to the print head is kept at a negative pressure. Since the ink extracting member is formed into a needle-like hollow body, the member can be easily stuck into a recess formed at the ink package.

  • Patent number: 5836260
Abstract: A needle bar stopper is provided in a sewing machine having a main shaft and a needle bar which moves vertically upon reception of a driving force from the main shaft. The needle bar stopper comprises a transmission prohibiting unit, including a needle bar stopping solenoid, which prohibits transmission of the driving force from the main shaft to the needle bar and a braking unit, including a needle bar stopping solenoid, which applies a braking force to the needle bar when transmission of the driving force is prohibited by the transmission prohibiting unit. The needle bar stopper can stop the needle bar reliably by use of the braking unit.

  • Patent number: 5680827
Abstract: A sewing machine includes a stitch forming device which forms stitches on a work sheet by locking an upper and a lower thread with each other, and a tension changing device which changes a tension of the lower thread to stop supplying of the lower thread to the stitch forming device at a predetermined timing. A sewing machine for forming stitches on a work sheet by locking an upper and a lower thread with each other, includes a pattern selecting device which selects one of a plurality of different stitch patterns, a detecting device which detects the selected one stitch pattern, and a tension changing device which changes, based on the detected one stitch pattern, a maximum tension of the lower thread to a corresponding one of a plurality of different tension values.

  • Patent number: 4883376
Abstract: A data processing apparatus provides excellent printing quality even though it employs an impact printer which is subject to mechanical vibrations during the typing operation. The apparatus comprises a highly rigid chassis frame for respectively supporting the printer and CRT in upper and lower portions of the frame and to withstand outside factors which adversely affect the printing quality. At the same time, inclination of the CRT is adjusted to provide the minimum size of the combined equipment and easy printing check within an area of an operator's eye sight. A shielding plate is also provided on the upper chassis to mount the printer and to prevent leaked magnetic flux from adversely affecting the CRT and printing quality.

  • Patent number: 4795120
Abstract: A supporting apparatus for moving an attachment apparatus, such as a display apparatus, relative to a basic apparatus, such as a printing apparatus, to a desired position for an operator. A vertical shaft for supporting the display apparatus can be shifted from an engaging position to a release position by the rocking operation of an operation member around its supporting shaft through a pivot pin projecting from the bottom portion of the vertical shaft. At the release position, the vertical shaft is allowed free rotation, which in turn sets the display apparatus to the desired swivel position. At the engaging position, a swivel positioning means is enabled so as to prevent the rotation of the vertical shaft, thus fixing the display apparatus at the set swivel position.
