  • Patent number: 4633654
Abstract: This invention relates to an air extractor for a bag-making filling and packaging machine for exhausting the air in a bag filled with goods. The air extractor comprises frames freely closing and opening for surrounding in an air-tight manner the bag filled with the goods. Air is supplied into the closed frames so as to squeeze the outer surfaces of the bag by the pressure of the supplied air to extract the air from the bag. In this manner, the air in the bag is reliably extracted irrespective of the shapes of the goods and their filled conditions without damaging the goods.

  • Patent number: 4614196
Abstract: An ultrasonic imaging apparatus includes an ultrasonic scanner, a TV monitor, a video tape recorder, a video freezing unit, a scale information setter/reader. A tomographic image signal is derived from the ultrasonic scanner and stored in the video tape recorder after being superimposed to the scale information signal derived from the scale information setter/reader. A desirable tomographic image is video-freezed by the video-freezing unit while observing a plurality of tomographic images displayed on the TV monitor. The actual measurement is effected by determining the actual value based upon the scale information previously superimposed to the tomographic video signal.

  • Patent number: 4550480
Abstract: An improved method of producing a scroll type compressor having an orbital scroll member and a stationary scroll member. The orbital scroll member is fabricated by a process comprising the steps of: forming an end plate and a spiral wrap separately, the end plate being composed of an upper half part having a discontinuous joining portion for joining the spiral wrap and a lower half part having an oil passage. The upper half part and the lower half part of the end plate are fixed to each other through mutual engagement between locating projections formed by a plastic work on one of the half parts and mating holes formed in the other of the half parts.

  • Patent number: 4245928
Abstract: The present invention discloses a method for the construction of a structure sufficiently reinforced particularly against a lateral force by driving the desired number of pile members into the water and integrally connecting these pile members with the brace members the connection of the pile members with the brace members is accomplished by providing a gap between the brace and pile members, and filling the gap with a filler joining material having a powerful bonding force, such as an expansive mortar. The connecting work is devised to be performed safely and accurately on the surface of the water.

  • Patent number: 4132876
Abstract: A puffer type gas circuit breaker comprises a first and a second arcing electrodes movable relative to each other, an insulating nozzle surrounding the second arcing electrode, a puffer device for introducing an arc-suppressing gas into the insulating nozzle to puff out the arc produced between the two arcing electrodes when the breaker is in motion for circuit breaking, and a movable shield device for relieving the concentration of an electric field at the front end of the first arcing electrode during the breaker motion for circuit breaking. When the breaker is closed and the circuit made, the movable shield device surrounds the first arcing electrode and insulating nozzle, with a predetermined gap between itself and the insulating nozzle opposite thereto, and is kept at the same potential as the first arcing electrode. The circuit breaker further includes a device for maintaining the predetermined gap and the same potential at least in the early stage of the breaker motion for current breaking.
