  • Patent number: 10232478
Abstract: A tool magazine device includes a rail that is annularly formed and that has a separation section at a part in a circumferential direction of the rail and a holding ring that is arranged coaxially with the rail and that is rotated by a driving motor. The holding ring is provided with a plurality of holding sections that are open in an axial direction of the holding ring. The holding sections are arranged in the circumferential direction of the holding ring. A tool pot is held to be insertable into and extractable from each holding section. A conveyance unit sends out the tool pot placed in the holding section to an exchange position and sends the tool pot into the holding section from the exchange position. A roller supported by each tool pot rolls on the rail in response to the rotation of the holding ring.

  • Patent number: 7724393
Abstract: In trapping process of a multicolor image, it is judged whether trapping process is required or not, and trapping process is performed only when required. Specifically, trapping process is executed when in a portion where a plurality of figures constituting an image overlap, the plate color value of a relatively lower figure is erased or overwritten. This enables to execute trapping process only when there is the danger that a gap occurs in a boundary portion where different two colors are adjacent each other.

  • Patent number: 7616344
Abstract: For page data containing shadow-casting objects, trap graphics are generated according to the following procedure. First, an ID drawing process is performed for all objects within a page, and based on the process result, a related graphic list indicating relative positional relationships between the objects is generated. Thereafter, an ID drawing process is performed for all objects in the area of each shadow-casting object, excluding the shadow-casting object. The result of the ID drawing process in the shadow-casting object area is reflected in the related graphic list, and thereafter, trap graphics are generated based on settings information in the related graphic list.

  • Patent number: 7525689
Abstract: In trapping process of a multicolor image, an adjacent vector between an objective figure and a relative figure at an upper side is specified first. Then, with the use of the contour of the objective figure except for this adjacent vector, an adjacent vector between the objective figure and a lower relative figure is extracted. This enables to extract, as an adjacent vector, only the portion at which the color of the objective figure and the color of the lower related figure are adjacent each other in appearance. Therefore, the trapping process is executable without generating any unwanted color component on the image.

  • Publication number: 20080201090
Abstract: In the method of evaluating a characteristic of a magnetic head, a failure of a measuring equipment can be detected without stopping shipment of magnetic heads which have been previously evaluated, reevaluating the magnetic heads and stopping the measuring operations. The method of evaluating characteristics of the magnetic head comprises the steps of: storing measured data, which are a prescribed characteristic of the magnetic head measured by a measuring equipment, in storing means; detecting if the measuring equipment is failed or not on the basis of the measured data; and evaluating characteristics of the magnetic head when a failure of the measuring equipment is not detected in the detecting step.

  • Patent number: 7414394
Abstract: When testing the quality of shield films of magnetoresistive effect heads, a method of testing and a testing apparatus can detect heads where the shield magnetic domain is susceptible to changing that could not be completely detected by conventional methods of testing that use normal magnetization. The method of testing applies an external magnetic field to a magnetoresistive effect head as external stress, measures the output voltage of the head, and repeats the applying of the external magnetic field and the measuring a plurality of times to test the quality of the shield film. The magnetic field is applied in a direction parallel to the shield film and at an angle to a floating surface of the magnetoresistive effect head. The intensity of the applied magnetic field is smaller than the coercive force of a hard bias film and larger than the coercive force of the shield film.

  • Patent number: 7113316
Abstract: In a holographic pattern provided in a holographic optical element, a pattern 1a twists a diffracted light beam in a clockwise direction, to form a semi-circular light spot Sa on photodetection parts A and B so as to extend over a dividing line LX in a four-segment photodetection part. A pattern 1b similarly twists the diffracted light beam in a clockwise direction, to form a semi-circular light spot Sb on photodetection parts C and D so as to extend over a dividing line LX in the four-segment photodetection part.

  • Patent number: 6909687
Abstract: A six-segment holographic surface is divided into regions by dividing lines. A four-segment photodetection part is divided into four photodetection parts equal in area by a section line substantially parallel to the radial direction of an optical disk and a section line orthogonal thereto. A main light beam diffracted in the regions of the six-segment holographic surface are condensed as spots at positions apart from each other on opposite sides on a section line of the four photodetection parts, and the main beam diffracted in the regions is condensed as spots in the center of the photodetection parts of the four-segment photodetection part.

  • Publication number: 20050099640
Abstract: A page data editor capable of listing types of dot patterns assigned to component images arranged on a page respectively, collectively displaying component images to which a specific dot pattern is assigned and readily changing the dot pattern of a selected component image, a component image display method in a page data editor and a program are provided. The page data editor acquires dot patterns assigned to a plurality of component images respectively from page data and displays a list of the names thereof. The page data editor also creates a list associating the dot patterns and the component images with each other. When a certain dot pattern is specified on the basis of the displayed list, a display element discriminably displays the component images to which the dot pattern is assigned on the basis of the list.
