  • Patent number: 4938587
Abstract: An optical apparatus having a base table on which an original is placed and an image forming unit with an optical system which projects an image of the original onto a remote screen for showing the same to a number of viewers. A foldable structure is provided, having a support structure mounted on a base table for movement between a lowered position covering the base table and a raised position wherein the image forming unit is located above the base table so as to form and project the image of the original onto the remote screen. A linkage interconnects the image forming unit and the support structure for causing a movement of the image forming unit relative to the support structure upon movement of the support structure between the folded and unfolded positions, thereby placing the image forming unit above the base table when the supporting means is in the raised position and flush with the support means so as to cover the base table when the support means is in the lowered position.

  • Patent number: 4609270
Abstract: A camera of the type having interchangeable taking lenses with different focal lengths includes a lens cover with an opening formed therein for allowing light rays to enter a selected taking lens, and an optical path establishing member which can pivotally move in order to establish an optical path for either one of the interchangeable taking lenses, thereby to permit the choice of a taking lens suitable for an object to be photographed. The lens cover is manually moved in order to align the opening with either one of the interchangeable taking lenses or to cover and protect them; and this movement operates the optical path establishing member so as to cause it to establish the proper optical path for the taking lens with which the opening of the lens cover is aligned.

  • Patent number: 4557574
Abstract: A protective cover with an opening is of a box shape, and is slidably mounted on the front face of a camera body. When the protective cover is slid to an open position, the end face of the protective cover retreats from over the taking lens to expose it, and the opening then coincides with a flash unit and a viewfinder vertically disposed relative to the flash unit to thereby expose the flash unit and the viewfinder. When the protective cover is opened, a power switch is turned on by being contacted by a portion of the protective cover, and a projecting plate disposed sideways of the flash unit unit projects out of a slot formed in the protective cover. The protective cover is formed with a tunnel portion for passing a strap therethrough, and the strap is connected, not to the cover, but rather to the camera body, so that tension on the strap has no tendency to open the cover.

  • Patent number: 4493542
Abstract: A photographic camera having a configuration like a thin box comprises a camera body and a handle grip. When the camera is used, the camera body is rotated relative to the handle grip through an angle of about 90.degree. to be transverse to the handle grip. When not in use, the handle grip is aligned with the camera body. The handle grip is hollow to receive the camera body therein; and a support housing slidable and permanently disposed in the handle grip is rotatably secured to the camera body.
