  • Patent number: 7472651
Abstract: In a vessel (2) to which waste liquid (11) which contains ink pigment, water and cleaning liquid used in a printer is supplied, a metal electrode plate (30a, 30b) which allows the waste liquid (11) to flow therethrough is disposed to partition the inside of the vessel (2) into a first region (a) and a second region (b). A high voltage from a high-voltage power supply (7) is applied to the metal electrode plate (30a, 30b) while a grounding electrode (20) is connected to the first chamber (a) to generate an electrostatic field between the metal electrode plate (30a, 30b) and the grounding electrode (20) so that the water and the ink pigment are electrostatically agglomerated from the waste liquid (11) making use of electrophoresis of the ink pigment by the electrostatic field thereby to separate the waste liquid in the first region (a) into the cleaning liquid, water and ink pigment.

  • Publication number: 20060144271
Abstract: Disclosed are a printing plate precursor, a fabrication process of the printing plate precursor, a fabrication process of a printing plate, a regeneration process of the printing plate, a printing press, and a coating formulation for the printing plate precursor. According to the present invention, a printing plate can be fabricated directly from digital data, and sufficient image quality can be obtained without a developing step, i.e., a developer. To permit repeated use of the precursor, the precursor has a surface, which contains a photocatalyst and is capable of showing hydrophilicity when exposed to activating light having energy higher than band gap energy of the photocatalyst.

  • Patent number: 5782960
Abstract: A hydrogen separation membrane has a hydrogen-permeable metal foil laminated to a porous metal support. The metal support comprising a laminate of metal-reinforcing plates each having a plurality of hydrogen-flow-through holes. The metal-reinforcing plates have rectangular or similarly shaped holes having longitudinal and lateral axes. The laminate is assembled so that the longitudinal axes of the holes of adjacent metal-reinforcing plates intersect substantially at right angles with each other.

  • Patent number: 5272298
Abstract: A vacuum deposition apparatus has a slit-like nozzle formed in a receptacle accommodating a vacuum deposition material to effect uniform vacuum deposition of the material in the direction of width of a moving base material. The receptacle is made of graphite. An inductively heated body is disposed at the upper part of the receptacle and is provided with the small slit-like nozzle. The nozzle extends in the direction of width of the moving base material. The vaporized vacuum deposition material passes through the nozzle and is deposited uniformly in the direction of width of the moving base material.

  • Patent number: 4977773
Abstract: A double action die set for closed forging to be equipped in a reciprocating press consisting of a stationary base and a slide. Each die is equipped with one set of a metal mold and a punch. A stationary side die is fixedly secured to the stationary base, while a movable side die is fixedly secured to the slide. Each one of the stationary side die and the movable side die comprises therein a metal mold supporting outer piston of hollow shape, a punch supporting inner piston slidably engaged with a hollow space in the outer piston, and a common oil chamber for supporting the outer piston and the inner piston with a same hydraulic pressure.According to this invention such advantages as to reduce the height of the die set and to move the pressurized oil only within the same oil chambers can be obtained.
