Abstract: Disclosed is a liquid composition that, while maintaining good color developing properties and gloss, can realize good cleaning operation without staying of the liquid composition in a cleaning cap. The liquid composition is adapted for use with an ink composition for deposition on a recording medium and comprises a modified polyallylamine, a water soluble organic solvent, and water and is free from any colorant. The liquid composition and an ink composition each are deposited onto a recording medium to perform recording. A polymer comprising a recurring unit represented by formula (I) is used as the modified polyallylamine.

Abstract: The objective is to provide a composition or a food material for protecting a living body from an external factor, which includes an extract from Agaricus Blazei Murill. The composition protects a living body through immunocompetent cells. The immunocompetent cells may be macrophages, and optionally, T cells. The immunocompetent cells may be antibody producing cells. The composition may protect a living body through an enhancement of humoral immunity. The enhancement of the humoral immunity may be caused by activating lymphocytes selected from the group consisting of activating T cells and macrophages, and thus enhancing expression of interleukin selected from the group consisting of interleukin-1? and interleukin 6. The external factor may be taken by smoking, or may be an antigen substance.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a polyallylamine-based high-molecular-weight polymer which is easily soluble in water and in an organic solvent and gives an excellently stable aqueous solution or organic solvent solution thereof which is suitable for use in the fields of fine chemicals such as the field of inkjet recording, and the polymer is a modified polyallylamine obtained by modifying a copolymer of N,N-dialkylallylamine and allylamine.

The buckle is swingably attached to the coupler around a pivot and has a pair of parallel supporting walls. The supporting walls have longitudinally opposite first ends and second ends and the pivot extends through the first ends. End surfaces of the first ends define cam surfaces serving to enhance a tensity of the belt as the second ends swing around the pivot while the end surfaces are kept in contact with the peripheral surface.

Abstract: Disclosed are a process for the production of a low-molecular-weight allylamine polymer having a weight average molecular weight of 250 to 4,000 or an addition salt thereof, which comprises distilling a low-molecular-weight allylamine polymer solution to distill off unreacted monoallylamine, then, subjecting a residue to electrodialysis, and optionally carrying out acid treatment, a low-molecular-weight allylamine polymer having an ignition residue content of 5% by weight or less and a weight average molecular weight of 250 to 4,000, or an addition salt of a low-molecular-weight allylamine polymer having said properties, a water-resistance-imparting agent for use in an ink which comprises the above polymer or addition salt, and an ink composition comprising a colorant and the above water-resistance-imparting agent.

Control means performs a gray level correction on the image information sensed by the image scanner in accordance with the surface gray level information of a reference plate which has been sensed in advance by the image scanner thereby generating recording information corrected in gray level, wherein the gray level correction is performed when the recording information is generated from the image information thereby making compensation not only for the shading error but also for gray level errors due to other factors so that an image is recorded in exact correspondence with the sensed image information of the document without having an error in gray level.

Abstract: An image data encoding apparatus encodes image data at a high speed while minimizing the deterioration of the image quality on a reproduced screen. The apparatus includes an encoding circuit, a code quantity counter and a control circuit. The control circuit compares a total code quantity with a reference code quantity. When the total code quantity exceeds the reference code quantity, the control circuit further compares an excessive quantity with a brought forward code quantity. The control circuit instructs an interruption of generation of the code image data by the encoding circuit when the excessive quantity is larger than the brought forward code quantity.
