  • Patent number: 4883858
Abstract: A premix, an origomeric prepolymer obtainable from a limited addition polymerization effected with the premix and a thermosetting resin obtainable from such premix or prepolymer as well as fiber reinforced plastics made of such thermosetting resin which are excellent in the heat resistance, impact resistance and flexibility and exhibit a high toughness, wherein said premix comprises, as a first essential component, an amine-terminated amic acid expressed by the formula, ##STR1## in which R.sup.1 stands for a tetravalent aromatic residue having 6 to 20 carbon atoms and R.sup.2 denotes a divalent organic residue having 2 to 20 carbon atoms, said amic acid being produced by reacting a tetracarboxylic dianhydride with a diamine compound, and, as a second essential component, an N,N'-bis maleimide of the formula, ##STR2## wherein R.sup.3 denotes a divalent organic residue having 2 to 20 carbon atoms, the mole ratio of [N,N'-bismaleimide]/[amine-terminated amic acid] being in the range from 1 to 3.

  • Patent number: 4743965
Abstract: A stereoscopic television picture transmission system includes a device (14) for obtaining a picture signal with respect to one of right and left pictures in a stereoscopic television, circuitry (22) for obtaining a difference signal between a right picture signal for the right picture and a left picture signal for the left picture, circuitry (27, 28, 29, 30) for effecting sub-Nyquist sampling of the difference signal at a frame period relating to a critical frequency for stereoscopic visual perception in a direction of depth to obtain a sampled difference signal, circuitry (36, 42) for combining one picture signal with the sampled difference signal to form a combined signal and for transmitting the combined signal, circuitry (50) for separating one picture signal and the difference signal from the transmitted combined signal, circuitry (56, 58, 60) for judging a motion between frames of the separated one picture signal, circuitry (62, 64) responsive to the motion judgement result for effecting interframe int

  • Patent number: 4704627
Abstract: Each of left and right images of a stereoscopic television picture is divided into a plurality of blocks and a position of one of the images is shifted in such a way that a difference between one picture signal (S.sub.L) in one block of one of the left and right images and the other picture signal (S.sub.R) in a block corresponding in position to the one block is minimized, to obtain a positional shift (p,q) between one picture and the other picture. A difference signal (S3) between one picture signal (S2) shifted by the positional shift (p,q) and the other picture signal (S.sub.R) is obtained in each block. The difference signal (S3) is compressed into a data compressed difference signal (S4). The compressed difference signal (S4), one video signal (S.sub.L) and the signal (S1) representative of the positional shift (p,q) are transmitted so that an amount of signals to be transmitted can be remarkably reduced.

  • Patent number: 4633121
Abstract: A comb-shaped piezoelectric unit, such as may be used for a mechanical signal source or in a display device for displaying raised letters for reading by blind persons. The piezoelectric unit includes a plurality of strip-shaped drive members extending from a common base part, a first metal electrode layer on each of the drive members with the first metal electrode layers among the drive members being insulated from one another, and a common metal electrode layer formed on the other side of the drive members, connected commonly to all drive members. To construct a display device for the blind, pins are attached to the free ends of each of the drive members, the pins being protrudable through respective holes in a rigid plate when the corresponding drive members are actuated by applying a voltage thereto.
