    Abstract: A method of efficiently inputting a desired letter in a mobile terminal having a touch screen by providing an automatic input mode. In order to input a letter located at at least the second location in a key, the user may just maintain the first touch to sequentially display the letters allocated to the key without continuously touching the touch screen. When a letter desired by the user is displayed on a display, input of the letter may be fixed upon release of the touch. The speed at which a letter is changed is determined by a learning operation of a control unit.
