  • Patent number: 12715487
Abstract: A method for measuring a parameter relevant to a journey of a rail vehicle. A parameter measurement value is determined using a control loop. A vehicle-side torque acting on a rotational part on the vehicle side is ascertained. A calculation module uses the vehicle-side torque value and a frictional engagement torque acting between the rotational part and a rail, to calculate a rotational acceleration of the rotational part and an expected rotational speed. A difference between the rotational estimated value and an actual rotational speed is supplied to a control device which outputs a controller output value at the output side. A frictional engagement torque value is recalculated with the controller output value and is coupled back into the computer module to close the control loop. The controller output and/or the recalculated frictional engagement torque value is considered the parameter measurement value, which is stored or output.

  • Publication number: 20240391447
Abstract: A method for determining at least one braking-behavior-relevant parameter relevant to the open-loop or closed-loop control of a braking system (210) of a rail vehicle (200). A physical model (PHYSM) is used in determining the at least one braking-behavior-relevant parameter, the physical model taking into account the influence of a wheel (10) which leads a wheel (20) to be braked (20), specifically with respect to an influence effect which the leading wheel (10) has on the traction between the trailing wheel (20) to be braked and the rail (30).

  • Patent number: 10663362
Abstract: A method for determining a torsional moment of a wheel set shaft of a rail vehicle during the operation of the rail vehicle is used for a wheel set shaft having two wheels secured to ends of the shaft for rolling on two rails. A model is used to calculate a torsional moment which acts on the wheel set shaft, and the model is based on a torsional vibration of the wheel set shaft at a specified slip action point. The torsional moment acting on the wheel set shaft is ascertained based on the energy of the torsional vibration of the wheel set shaft at the slip action point and based on a damping energy which acts on the torsional vibration of the wheel set shaft.
