  • Patent number: 9255551
Abstract: A fouling free clean EGR system for a diesel-gasoline dual fuel powered engine allows re-circulation of an exhaust gas of a certain cylinder among a plurality of cylinders. The fouling free clean exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system for a diesel-gasoline dual fuel powered engine in which gasoline and air are pre-mixed and supplied to cylinders and then a diesel fuel is injected and combusted together comprises a directly-exhaust cylinder of which an exhaust valve of the cylinder is connected to an exhaust manifold directly connected to a after treatment device; and an EGR cylinder of which an exhaust valve of the cylinder is connected to an EGR line and which supplies the EGR gas to the diesel-gasoline dual fuel powered engine.

  • Patent number: 9121336
Abstract: A diesel engine piston having a combustion chamber may include a profile surface that protrudes toward a center axis of the combustion chamber from an inner wall thereof and includes a protrusion on the inner wall, the protrusion extending from the inner wall with a predetermined length, wherein the protrusion divides a spray fuel, which may be sprayed and atomized onto the protrusion, into a fuel flow at an upper portion of the combustion chamber and a fuel flow at a lower portion of the combustion chamber, respectively.

  • Patent number: 8977474
Abstract: A diesel-gasoline dual fuel powered combustion engine system is provided with spark-assisted fouling free EGR system in which gasoline and air are homogeneously combined and supplied to cylinders and then a diesel fuel is injected and combusted together. The system may include: a plurality of cylinders each having a fuel injector; and an exhaust line through which flows an exhaust gas discharged as a fuel from each cylinder is combusted; wherein gasoline fuel combustion type is adapted to one or more cylinder of the plurality of the cylinders, and diesel-gasoline fuel pre-mixed combustion type is adapted to the other cylinders.

  • Publication number: 20130087123
Abstract: A diesel-gasoline hybrid engine is constructed with an exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system, without a design change. As a combustion space of a combustion chamber is stratified into a high-concentration EGR space and a relatively low-concentration EGR space, an ignition quality of a low-speed and low-load region is secured to improve combustion, and simultaneously, knocking in a high-low region is suppressed. Furthermore, the amount of NOX generated during gasoline premixed combustion and smoke generated during diesel combustion are significantly reduced.

  • Publication number: 20120132728
Abstract: An injector for vehicles improves utilization rate of air and mixing rate of air and fuel by disposing first and second nozzle holes having different K factors alternately. The injector for vehicles may include a housing of cylindrical shape, a plurality of nozzle holes communicating an inside of the housing with an outside thereof at a lower end of the housing, and a needle adapted to move reciprocally in the housing, and selectively opening or closing the nozzle hole, wherein the plurality of nozzle holes has a plurality of K factors.
