    Abstract: A method of diagnosing a subject with a lipid related disorder is disclosed, the method comprising determining an amount or activity of PON1 or apo-A1 in an LPDS fraction of a serum of the subject, wherein an amount or activity of PON1 above a predetermined threshold is indicative of the lipid related disorder. Kits for diagnosing the lipid related disorders are also disclosed.
