  • Publication number: 20240425216
Abstract: There is described a sealing apparatus for sealing packages filled with a pourable product within a packaging machine. The sealing apparatus having at least one sonotrode comprising at least a sonotrode head and a vibration control unit connected to the sonotrode head and configured to actuate ultrasonic vibrations of the sonotrode head. The vibration control unit comprises one or more piezoelectric transducer devices configured to generate ultrasonic vibrations to be coupled into the sonotrode head and a sensor device configured to measure, in use, one or more time-dependent electrical parameters of each one of the one or more piezoelectric transducer devices.

  • Patent number: 10919238
Abstract: A method of controlling an inductive heating circuit, having a varying load, to seal a packaging material is provided. The method comprises generating AC power of at least two frequencies on at least one inductor in the inductive heating circuit; determining of the resulting phase shift in the inductive heating circuit from the current generated at the at least two frequencies; determining the impedance of the inductive heating circuit for each of the at least two frequencies; determining a load characteristics of the inductive heating circuit based on the relationship between the determined impedance and the determined phase shift; determining an impedance operating range; and selecting an AC output frequency for an induction power generator based on the load characteristics which results in the least amount of phase shift from a set ideal value and which is associated with an impedance that is within the impedance operating range.

  • Patent number: 9610394
Abstract: An apparatus is described for extracorporeal blood treatment comprising an extracorporeal circuit (2), a first pump (13) operating at the removal line (3) of the blood, a second pump (14) operating at the return line (7) of the blood to the patient, a first blood reservoir (21) operating on the blood return line (7) upstream of the second blood pump (14) and a sensor (22) predisposed to detect at least a parameter, for example the pressure in the first reservoir; a control unit (100) connected to the first pump (13), to the second pump (14) and to the sensor (22) is configured such as to control the first pump (13) to promote removal of the blood along the removal line and the movement of the second pump (14) to promote the return of the blood to the patient along the return line, the control of the second pump being carried out on the basis of the signal emitted by the sensor acting on the first reservoir.
