The door frame includes a U-shaped part with a center portion and two legs. The U-shaped part is formed as a one-piece plastic part. The door panel is inserted within the U-shaped part. The U-shaped part encloses three circumferential sides of the door panel. The U-shaped part comprises support elements on its inner side in order to hold the door panel in a predetermined position. At least one fixing element is attached or attachable on at least one free end portion of the leg in order to secure the door panel within the U-shaped part.
