Abstract: A method includes creating a junction between a main pipe having a cured rehabilitation liner and a lateral pipe. The method is used in conjunction with an installation of the liner on an inner surface of the main pipe, and includes the steps of: inserting a first sealing device into the lateral pipe opening, the first sealing device blocking the lateral pipe opening and protruding with one end into the main pipe; installing and curing the liner on the inner surface of the main pipe covering the lateral pipe opening to define a cavity between the liner and the inner surface of the main pipe; making a hole in the liner at the lateral pipe opening; injecting a substance into the cavity to substantially fill the cavity; curing the substance; and removing the sealing device from the lateral pipe opening after the substance has cured.
