The gas bag is arranged and configured in such a way that in the inflated state it extends under a seat cover of the vehicle seat from a lower region of the backrest to an upper region of the backrest and emerges from the vehicle seat in the upper region of the backrest.

Abstract: A gas bag arrangement with a gas bag and a filling mechanism arranged in an opening of the gas bag for filling the gas bag with gas is provided. It is provided that the filling mechanism is elastically held in the opening by a holding mechanism arranged in the region of the opening, wherein the holding mechanism has elastic properties due to which it exerts holding forces on the filling mechanism.

Abstract: It is provided a gas-bag unit for a motor vehicle, having an inflatable gas bag which comprises at least two material layers that are fastened to one another by means of a circumferential seam in such a manner that the at least two material layers surround a gas-bag interior. A first portion of the gas bag is folded down to form a fold in such a manner that a first portion of the circumferential seam, which is located in the first portion of the gas bag, and the first portion of the gas bag are separated from the gas-bag interior by the fold.

Abstract: It is provided a vehicle seat arrangement for a motor vehicle, comprising a vehicle seat; an inflatable device which is arranged on the vehicle seat for protecting a vehicle occupant located on the vehicle seat; an inflating means for inflating the inflatable device, wherein the inflatable device has at least one inflatable chamber and is designed and arranged in such a manner that the vehicle occupant receives an impulse by the chamber expanding after the inflating means is triggered. The inflatable device is connected to the vehicle seat via at least two connecting regions of a connecting plane of the vehicle seat in such a manner that, after the triggering of the inflating means, the expansion of the chamber substantially takes place only in a single expansion direction obliquely or perpendicularly to the connecting plane.
