  • Patent number: 11183754
Abstract: An RF antenna assembly and system are provided that can employ cost-effective geometry and manufacturing methods to control tolerance variations, thereby precisely controlling an antenna element of the RF antenna assembly during manufacturing and operation and enabling the RF antenna system to properly operate at high frequencies, such as in a 6-67 GHz frequency range. The RF antenna assembly can include a top alignment collar, a bottom alignment collar coupled to the top alignment collar by a press fit connection, and the antenna element secured from movement in all degrees of freedom and aligned for consistent RF operation by the top alignment collar and the press fit connection.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 12, 2019
Date of Patent: November 23, 2021
    Assignee: PCTEL, Inc.
Inventors: Francisco X. Gomez, Miroslav Parvanov

  • Publication number: 20150097748
Abstract: A wide band LTE antenna that can operate in a frequency range of from approximately 690 MHz to approximately 2700 MHz is provided. The antenna can include a first PCB including a first conductor and a second PCB including a second conductor. A first plurality of arms of the first conductor and a first plurality of arms of the second conductor can be connected to a feed microstrip line disposed on a first side of the second PCB, a second plurality of arms of the first conductor and a second plurality of arms of the second conductor can be connected to a ground connection disposed on a second side of the second PCB, and the feed microstrip line can avoid connection with the second plurality of arms of the first conductor and with the second plurality of arms, of the second conductor.

  • Patent number: 8184060
Abstract: A multi-band antenna is provided that operates in at least two non-harmonically related frequency bands. The antenna includes a ground plane, a cone-shaped relatively high frequency antenna element with a tip of the high frequency antenna disposed adjacent to but electrically isolated from the ground plane with a base of the cone-shaped antenna element extending away from the ground plane, and at least three relatively low frequency antenna elements electrically connected to and extending between the base of the cone-shaped antenna element and the ground plane.

  • Publication number: 20110063185
Abstract: An antenna operating at a frequency f is provided. The antenna includes an elongated shaft having a first end, a second end, a first member, a second member, and a third member, and an antenna sleeve surrounding at least a portion of the second member of the elongated shaft. The first, second, and third members are contiguous with each other, and the antenna sleeve is loaded with a dielectric material to shorten a length of the second member of the elongated shaft.
