Abstract: Systems and methods for grinding are provided. In one embodiment, systems and methods for grinding are provided having a floating or self-adjusting dust collector or means. This allows the dust collector or guard to adjust its position relative its support member to allow for uninterrupted grinding operations as the grinding element(s) wear away. Biasing and guiding assemblies or means are provided that allow the dust collector/guard to be guided closer to its support structure to compensate for the grinding elements become smaller as they wear away during the grinding operation.

Abstract: A concrete saw configured to cut an underlying surface at an angle including a concrete saw having a saw frame, a saw blade, a motor to drive the saw blade and a platform structure to support the saw frame and allow movement of the concrete saw on an underlying surface, the platform structure including an angled support structure for supporting the saw frame relative to the platform structure at a platform angle, and a method of using the concrete saw to reduce falling concrete slabs or debris.
