Abstract: A method for producing a luggage compartment covering for vehicles may provide for a textile fabric having at least one two-component yarn having a first component and a second component. The method may also provide for thermally treating the fabric such that the first component of the two-component yarn at least partially melts while the second component remains in a solid state of aggregation. A luggage compartment covering for vehicles made by the method is also provided.

Abstract: A flexible fabric (1) for an interior of a vehicle, a seat cover having the flexible fabric (1), a vehicle seat having the seat cover, and a vehicle with such a seat are disclosed. The flexible fabric (1) is provided for a vehicle seat and has an at least partially translucent top layer (7). A lighting device (9, 10) is provided. At least partially translucent spacer layer (3) is arranged at least partially between the lighting device (9, 10) and the top layer (7). The spacer layer (3) has at least one embossed line (4, 8) in which the lighting device (9, 10) is accommodated. Backlighting is provided over a large area for such a flexible fabric in the interior of a vehicle.

Abstract: An illumination device for inside a vehicle has a radiation source (2), which is a source for ultraviolet radiation. The illumination device also has at least one surface element (6) having fluorescent substances or phosphorescent substances. Visible light is emitted from the respective substances in response to an excitation by the ultraviolet radiation, such that the inside of the vehicle can be extensively illuminated, without dazzling the driver with bright light sources. A corresponding method is further provided for illuminating inside a vehicle, and to the use of an illumination device for this purpose.

Abstract: A method for producing printed textiles for motor vehicles, the textiles having a polyester-based top material and a bottom material, introduces at least a thickener and a UV absorber into the top material in a foulard process. The top material is dried, a digital printing process is carried out on the dried top material, and the printed top material is laminated with the bottom material. Dyes are applied such that the dyes are especially abrasion resistant. This is achieved in that, in the foulard process, a hydrophilizing agent is introduced into the top material.

Abstract: The required length of a continuously delivered weft thread which is to be introduced into the shed of a weaving loom is measured on the circumference of a cylindrical measuring drum. The angular speed of the measuring drum can be infinitely varied to produce an actually required length of the weft thread, thus permitting an exact adjustment of this length.
