  • Patent number: 9449387
Abstract: An inner wall extractor extracts the inner wall of a vital tissue based on medical image data. An outer wall extractor extracts the outer wall of the vital tissue based on the medical image data. A first raised portion calculator obtains information including the presence of a first raised portion in which the inner wall of the vital tissue is raised inward, based on the extracted inner wall of the vital tissue. A second raised portion calculator obtains information including the presence of a second raised portion in which the outer wall of the vital tissue is raised outward, based on the extracted outer wall of the vital tissue. A display controller superimposes the information of the first raised portion and the information of the second raised portion on an image of the vital tissue, and causes the image to be displayed on a display.

  • Patent number: 7583781
Abstract: An X-ray CT apparatus includes an X-ray detector that is asymmetrically disposed with respect to an irradiation axis of an X-ray and first and second ends that are disposed close to and far from the irradiation axis of the X-ray, respectively. When a scanogram of an object is imaged in one direction only, a part of the object at the first end is missed. Accordingly, scanograms are imaged in first and second directions that are opposite to each other, and then the imaged scanograms are superimposed. The superimposed scanogram is used as an image for setting a scanning range. According to this configuration, although a scanogram is produced by an X-ray CT apparatus having an asymmetrically disposed X-ray detector, it is possible to produce a desired projection data by obtaining scanogram data in the opposite two directions and combining each data. As a result, the accuracy in setting of a scanning position is not deteriorated.

  • Patent number: 7221729
Abstract: An X-ray computer tomography apparatus which performs prep scanning prior to main scanning to acquire information for use in reconstruction of a tomographic image for diagnosis, the main scanning including rotary scanning around a rotation axis, and axial scanning along the rotation axis, the X-ray computer tomography apparatus includes determination unit which determines a speed based on a change of a characteristic amount concerning information obtained by the prep scanning, and a unit which controls, to the determined speed, a speed of the axial scanning in a period from the start to the completion of the main scanning.
