  • Publication number: 20130178559
Abstract: The resin-reinforcing fiber of the preset invention is a fiber surface-treated with an epoxidized polydiene resin. The fiber is preferably carbon fiber or glass fiber. The fiber-reinforced resin composite material of the present invention comprises the resin-reinforcing fiber and a matrix resin. The matrix resin is preferably an epoxy thermosetting resin. The resin-reinforcing fiber of the present invention can improve the absorbed energy up to the maximum load (elastic energy) of a fiber-reinforced resin composite material and the absorbed energy after the maximum load (propagation energy) thereof at the same time.

  • Publication number: 20090324831
Abstract: Disclosed is a curable resin composition which contains a copolymer; and an organic solvent having a boiling point of 180° C. or higher at atmospheric pressure, which copolymer contains monomer units (A) having an alkali-soluble group, and monomer units (B) corresponding to curable group-containing polymerizable unsaturated compounds. The copolymer contains the monomer units (B) in a content of 5 to 95 percent by weight, based on the total weight of monomer units constituting the copolymer, and the monomer units (B) contain 30 percent by weight or more of monomer units corresponding to at least one compound selected from compounds containing an 3,4-epoxytricyclo[5.2.1.02,6]decane ring. The curable resin composition gives a coat which is superior typically in transparency and thermal stability and does not suffer from uneven thickness and coating defects particularly when the composition is applied through slit coating or ink-jet coating.

  • Patent number: 5847224
Abstract: A process for improving the color of oxygenates, such as MTBE, ETBE and TAME, which utilizes a hydrogenation treater in the presence of a catalyst, containing at least one noble metal, along with a circulation of hydrogen to remove the color. The process reduces existing color bodies in the oxygenate and may proceed at room temperature and at normal pressure for economically providing a completely clear product having a +30 saybolt number.
