  • Patent number: 4267586
Abstract: An electrophonic musical instrument which can be of sufficiently small size to be incorporated in a portable electronic timepiece, having operating members which serve to input data corresponding to pitch and timing information for a sequence of musical notes to be stored in an internal memory, and having means whereby said sequence of musical notes can be subsequently automatically reproduced audibly by actuating another operating member.

  • Patent number: 4237420
Abstract: A circuit for producing a digital output varying linearly with temperature changes by measuring the width of a pulse from a monostable multivibrator, in which the pulse is measured more than twice in succession and the results added. A greater change in the digital output for a given temperature change is achieved, providing higher measurement accuracy.

  • Patent number: 4096412
Abstract: A driver circuit for an electrochromic display device having segment electrodes and a common electrode adapted to display information in response to a display information signal. The driver circuit comprises a storage means for generating first and second output signals delayed in phase from the display information signal. A bleaching signal generating means is responsive to the first output signal, and a coloration signal generating means is responsive to the second output signal. First and second switching means are coupled to receive a bleaching signal and a coloration signal, causing an electric current to flow each of the segment electrodes in directions to induce bleaching and coloration, respectively. An auxiliary signal is applied to the first and second switching means to cause a segment to remain in its previously activated state for an extended period of time.

  • Patent number: 4087958
Abstract: A novel timepiece apparatus for transmitting segment video signals to display time information etc. on a television set is described. The timepiece apparatus includes an oscillator generating a time base signal, a frequency divider dividing the frequency of said time base signal, a time counter counting an output from said frequency divider, a decoder decoding an output from said time counter, a segment video signal generator controlled by means of said decoder, a synchronizing signal generator delivering a synchronizing signal to said segment video signal generator, a modulator receiving a segment video signal from said segment video signal generator and a synchronizing signal from said synchronizing signal generator, a carrier wave generator delivering a carrier wave to be modulated by said modulator, and a transmitter transmitting a modulated carrier wave from said modulator whereby there can be obtained precise time information etc. on television sets.

  • Patent number: 4060974
Abstract: A method and apparatus for driving an electrochromic display device in which an electric current is applied only to one of display elements for which non-coincidence exists between an initially applied display information signal and a subsequently applied display information signal. In one preferred embodiment, a driver circuit comprises a latch circuit for storing a display information signal, a non-coincidence detection circuit for detecting non-coincidence between a subsequently applied display information signal and an initially applied display information signal stored in the latch circuit, and a signal generating circuit responsive to a non-coincidence signal from the detection circuit for generating an output signal for a display element for which non-coincidence is detected.
