    Abstract: A carton assembly for packages of smoking articles comprises a top portion, a bottom portion, a first side portion, a second side portion, a first end portion, a second end portion and a dispensing portion. The dispensing portion is defined by a perforation line on the first and second side portions and the bottom portion before the hinged dispensing portion is opened. When the perforation line is torn, the dispensing portion may be removed allowing cigarette packages to be withdrawn from the carton.
