  • Patent number: 11698095
Abstract: A wall fastener assembly for use with a building wall system, with the wall fastener assembly including a fastener and an elongated, semi-rigid seal member. The fastener includes a shaft and a head, with the fastener configured to be secured to the wall system. The seal member includes opposed first and second ends, and a center bore that extends along the length of the seal member and is configured to receive the shaft of fastener. When the fastener is secured to the wall system the first end of the seal member is configured to compress against a portion of the wall system to form a first seal and the opposite second end of the seal member is configured to form a second seal to thereby seal the wall fastener assembly against the wall system.

  • Patent number: 11624184
Abstract: A wall fastener assembly for retaining an exterior wall covering alongside a wall includes a screw, an elongated shank and a washer. The shank is configured to provide a space for a layer of insulation between the exterior wall covering and the wall. The shank comprises a center bore extending along the length of the shank for receiving the screw configured to secure the wall fastener assembly to the wall. The shank also includes a pair of flanges positioned opposite the wall. The pair of flanges form a groove between them. The groove configured to receive a masonry tie, wire tie or a girt track. The washer includes a central portion comprising a center hole for receiving the shank. The wire tie includes a narrow portion configured to be retained by the groove. A seal may be provided on the shank to seal the wall fastener assembly with the insulation.

  • Publication number: 20210341008
Abstract: A self-sealing fastener for securing a building component to a framing member, such as securing a sheathing layer over which is disposed a barrier layer to a framing member, includes a fastener with a shank and a head, and a rubberized coating surrounding at least a portion of the shank of the fastener. The rubberized coating is designed to peel back from the shank and accumulate at least around the shank and/or head upon insertion into the wall assembly, thereby sealing off an entry of the self-sealing fastener into the barrier layer and sheathing layer.

  • Patent number: 11078664
Abstract: A hanger apparatus is provided for attaching and securing building materials to a structure, such as attaching fibrous insulation to a wall or a cladding system on a building. The hanger includes a selectively deployable securing element such as a bendable barb to impale the building material and to secure the impaled building material to the hanger. The hanger may include a sealing fastener to secure the apparatus to the structure and to form a air, vapor, or weather seal between the fastener, hanger apparatus, and structure. The hanger is configurable for use with a single securing element or may be interlocked with additional hangers to create a chain of securing elements to secure a large portion of building material to a large section of a building. The hanger may include relief notches or apertures to reduce the force required to bend portions of the apparatus.
